@MarkTyler84 (this is not legal advice, please seek a lawyer for legal advice) Yes, you can open carry any firearm in Oregon without a CHL, but city, county, and mucipical have the right to ONLY ban LOADED Firearms in the public, yet if you have a CHL then your exempt. Also, once you have a CHL then you have a legal right to carry any firearm open or concealed into any public building including capital building but not courts. Look up ORS 166 for the law! Yes you open carry in grants pass, OR.

You can open carryhand guns without a permint, just there is citys in oregon you will have to do it unloaded. city like portland and others.

@bwboley87 I know this very well, about city having the authority to regulate a loaded firearm without a permit (Oregon). Also, if you don't know already, that you can NOT carry FIREARMS into any public buildings, capitol buildings, court building, Federal buildings (FED), and (GFSZ) Gun Free School Zones (FED). Yet, if license with a CHL in the state of Oregon then you are exempt from public buildings, Capitol Buildings, and GFSZ laws.
