Hoop Dreams is my favorite movie! I first saw this movie when it came on tv in the late 1990s. I then purchased the DVD to watch the special features. I never get tired of watching it. Hoop Dreams should have been nominated and awarded an Academy Award!

Man I'm searchin another basketball movie I saw years ago but can't remember the name. Also looked for it on google without success.

It was about some guys struggling, but a man comes and coaches them, then they start to progress, one of the guys was named Casey if I'm not mistaking, he was like a lil retarded, their coach then manages to make them start to really play well. The name of their team was Shooting stars. Could somebody find it please ? This movie was from the 90's. Thanks.

@Blackjesus3 both didnt make it to the nba. william though was given a chance in 2001 when he tried out for the wizards. it was said he did pretty well but near the end of the tryout he sprained his ankle and he gave up on basketball after that. He is married and has 3 kids I think. Arthur started a small business selling clothes and shoes under the name ' hoop dreams' He has 5 kids with as many different woman and it was said that one time he was sent to rehabilation because he was on drugs.
