I heard today that Lucas wil release the movies every half year wich means Attack of the Clones will come out August 2012 and Revenge of the Sith February 2012 because they want to use the 3D hype as long as it exists.

Went and saw Episode I and though it is the worst of the series I didn't find myself complaining though it is fucking retarded to release them all year by year I have to say seeing all of them in 3D in the theaters is kool just to say "hey I went in saw them all and it was in 3d." I've seen TPM in "3D". It doesn't pop out of the screen if your expecting that, from what I remember, it's the reverse kinda - it goes backwards into the screen to give the scenes more depth etc mostly, and also forwards deepening on the objects (not forward outside of the screen etc). It wasn't filmed with 3D cameras I believe.. I'm 16 and went with friends because I wanted to see it in the cinema, to have that experience. Nice that a younger audience (about 5-13) where there too - new gen etc

People, if you want to see "EMPIRE" in 3D, then you need to get out & support the 1st trilogy, otherwise Lucus wont release any more in 3D unless Phantom Menace does well. First. Phantom Menace wasn't horrid. As a movie. As part of the Star Wars franchise, that's a different story. Compared to Attack of the Clones, Episode 1 was effing brilliant. True Star Wars fans will always prefer 4, 5, and 6 over 1, 2 or 3. Do we hate that he made them though? No, because ultimately it was more Star Wars. Period. How is that not a win? George Lucas (in my opinion) is an over hyped director that got lucky with Star Wars. It is the only thing (other then American Graffiti) he has directed that was worthy of a film screen.

They make more money for lucas so its not exactly bad on his behalf and I get to go to the cinema to see the best films ever made that i never got the chance to see when they did come out in cinemas. And in 3D what is so wrong with 3D?! 3D is brilliant even when it was blue and red glasses in the day of spy kids 3D it enrichens your involvement with the film and makes you feel like you're actually there not just watching it on a TV.

@assman669 yes he is. You don't have to love ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING about a set of films to be considered a fan of it. I agree with this dude, the prequels suck, they're just SO different from the Originals that it's understandable to think differently about them from the originals. If I loved all 3 original Star Wars films, then saw the phantom menace and hated it, do I instantly stop being a true fan of star wars? No. It's like that phrase was invented to bully people into taking it back, jeez

The orginal triology is obviously better than the prequels... but the prequels are good too. Okay, Phantom Menace is fun to watch even though Jar Jar can be annoying... Attack of the Clones has its moments even though its the worst of the saga, and revenge of the sith is actually really good.

First. Phantom Menace wasn't horrid. As a movie. As part of the Star Wars franchise, that's a different story. Compared to Attack of the Clones, Episode 1 was effing brilliant. True Star Wars fans will always prefer 4, 5, and 6 over 1, 2 or 3. Do we hate that he made them though? No, because ultimately it was more Star Wars. Period. How is that not a win? I DO agree that I waiting sucks! I hope that Lucas decides to speed shit up between now and then... whenever then is.

From what I have read, A New Hope almost didnt make it to the big screen, and that it was saved by some decent editing by an actual editor.
George Lucas (in my opinion) is an over hyped director that got lucky with Star Wars. It is the only thing (other then American Graffiti) he has directed that was worthy of a film screen.
Think about it people - with the budget & support he has, he really has no excuse !
Lesser known and funded directors do more with scraps !

how the fuck is re-releasing all of them a bad fucking idea!. They make more money for lucas so its not exactly bad on his behalf and I get to go to the cinema to see the best films ever made that i never got the chance to see when they did come out in cinemas. And in 3D what is so wrong with 3D?! 3D is brilliant even when it was blue and red glasses in the day of spy kids 3D it enrichens your involvement with the film and makes you feel like you're actually there not just watching it on a TV.
