If jesus was a god then he could not possibly die for us because he is a god and cant die only transform him self to his original form in heaven so his death was a way to go back home. Now it would be a sacrifice if he spent eternity in hell for us then and only then can his crucifiction can be considered a sacrifice

1 Cor 7:10 says that repentance is unto salvation. Do not be deceived! Christ must become LORD of your life and that involves repenting of your sins and letting the Holy Spirit teach how to live a life that is Godly! Salvation is NOT of works but by faith alone.

It is God who chooses to save, and not man that chooses God. Man can only see the truth and extent of his sin and then believe in God when he has first been chosen and the Holy Spirit has given him new birth, regenerating his heart. Works salvation is very subtle and creeps in to destroy the sovereignty of God in who is saved. God chose Jacob over Esau before they were even born. He chose to love Jacob and hate Esau before they were born and had the chance to do right or wrong.
I think many posters think that the person who posted the video is saying that Christians can go on sinning. He is not saying that. Of course, to accept the righteousness of Christ as our only hope, we must recognize that our own ways are sinful and fall short. The important part that is being conveyed is we are not saved by our act of turning away. We are saved only by our believing upon the righteousness of Christ as our own. There is nothing we can do to earn anything in God's eyes.

People say they believe but continue to consciously sin. The point of repentance is to acknowledge your sin in front of God and to turn away from it. If you repent everyday for the same sin did you ever really believe in God?

As for the word "repent," it appears many times in the Bible. As it is pointed out, the phrase "repent of your sins" is found no where. Did the thief on the cross repent of his sins? Being enlightened by the Holy Spirit as to the reality that he was next to the very Son of God and his only hope of salvation, he believed. As we belief in the righteousness of Christ, we naturally must turn our face from our past faith in ourselves and our denial of our need for Christ and believe upon him.

God knows if we believe in and love His only begotten son Jesus. No one can earn the righteousness required to get into heaven. But accepting Jesus' sacrifice for us, we become 100% righteous in God's eyes. How hard is it to accept and understand the words "Jesus paid it all" ?!?! Turning from sin is sort of an indicator of salvation - only God and you can know for sure if you are truly saved. The same goes for doing good works. Once you're saved, God loves to see the turning and your works.

Rom5:2 says faith gives ACCESS to grace. Titus 2:11-12 says grace TEACHES us. You see we are saved by grace THROUGH faith (Eph2:8-10) and not of works (works done apart from God). Faith is the WORKING PRINCIPLE by which we put grace to use. No works = grace in vain (2Cor6:1). The wolves who look like sheep will will deceive you with this faith alone nonsense and they do not even understand what faith is. Faith involves DOING (Heb11) because it is through DOING that we activate the grace of God in our lives. Rom1:5 says we receive grace for OBEDIENCE to the faith.
Mat7:21 says those who DO the will of the Father will enter the kingdom of heaven. Mat7:24 says those who hear and DO build their house on the rock. Luke13:24 says STRIVE. Rom6:17 talks about OBEDIENCE. 2Cor6:1 talks about WORKING TOGETHER with God. 1Pet1:22 talks about being purified through OBEDIENCE. James1:22 talks about being a DOER not a hearer only. Jam2:17 says faith without works (faith alone) is dead. Heb5:9 links salvation and OBEDIENCE. Gal5:6 says faith WORKS by love.

When Jesus said believe in him, he was referring to the fact that he will not mislead you and if you follow his teaching you will not go wrong. He said the road to your salvation is narrow and uphill. So what does this mean? It means that the road to salvation is not easy BUT Jesus did say that if you take one step he will take 9 for you and help you along the way.

@John1576able The Greek word used for repent is "metanoia", or changing one's mind. You can't "give up sinning" before coming to Christ because you do not have the power to! We absolutely should turn our sin over to God and ask him to help us overcome it, but lets not make repentance something its not. Jesus said his yoke was light (Matthew 11:28-30), so lets not make it harder for people. Just because something is preached harder does not mean it is more right.

@creationliberty Repent means to have a change of heart, not quit sinning. So many people get stuck on that one. The entire book of John never uses the word 'repent'. All we need to do is trust in Christ. The Bible does not contradict itself.

Otherwise by your definition it is a work and would also be a contradiction to what the Bible teaches, which is that we are saved by grace through faith. You can't have it both ways. If you 'repent' by ceasing to sin, how much is required since we have so much sin? Nay, we can't defeat sin but through Jesus. Savior before Lord.

I am sad to say that you have twisted the scriptures. Just because the bible says that works wont save you it doesn't mean that godly works are not necessary for a life of faith. Just as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead. Faith and works actually work together.

The bible does say that faith without works is dead. How can you say that you believe in Christ Jesus and he is the Son of God when you do not try to be like him. To love God with all your heart, soul and mind and to Love your neighbour as yourself.

Most do not understand what Christ is talking about because they start with a faulty understanding. Christ is telling everyone to repent (turn) from following the letter of the law to faith in Him and that he has fullfilled the law. Without the law there is no wrongdoing possible. In Christ one can only grieve the Holy Spirit by not beign obedient to Christ.

It is God who chooses to save, and not man that chooses God. Man can only see the truth and extent of his sin and then believe in God when he has first been chosen and the Holy Spirit has given him new birth, regenerating his heart. Works salvation is very subtle and creeps in to destroy the sovereignty of God in who is saved. God chose Jacob over Esau before they were even born. I think many posters think that the person who posted the video is saying that Christians can go on sinning. He is not saying that. Of course, to accept the righteousness of Christ as our only hope, we must recognize that our own ways are sinful and fall short. The important part that is being conveyed is we are not saved by our act of turning away. We are saved only by our believing upon the righteousness of Christ as our own. There is nothing we can do to earn anything in God's eyes.

As for the word "repent," it appears many times in the Bible. As it is pointed out, the phrase "repent of your sins" is found no where. Did the thief on the cross repent of his sins? Being enlightened by the Holy Spirit as to the reality that he was next to the very Son of God and his only hope of salvation, he believed. As we belief in the righteousness of Christ, we naturally must turn our face from our past faith in ourselves and our denial of our need for Christ and believe upon him.

God knows if we believe in and love His only begotten son Jesus. No one can earn the righteousness required to get into heaven. But accepting Jesus' sacrifice for us, we become 100% righteous in God's eyes. How hard is it to accept and understand the words "Jesus paid it all" ?!?! Turning from sin is sort of an indicator of salvation - only God and you can know for sure if you are truly saved. The same goes for doing good works. Once you're saved, God loves to see the turning and your works.

Rom5:2 says faith gives ACCESS to grace. Titus 2:11-12 says grace TEACHES us. You see we are saved by grace THROUGH faith (Eph2:8-10) and not of works (works done apart from God). Faith is the WORKING PRINCIPLE by which we put grace to use. No works = grace in vain (2Cor6:1). The wolves who look like sheep will will deceive you with this faith alone nonsense and they do not even understand what faith is. Faith involves DOING (Heb11) because it is through DOING that we activate the grace of God in our lives. Rom1:5 says we receive grace for OBEDIENCE to the faith.

He said the road to your salvation is narrow and uphill. So what does this mean? It means that the road to salvation is not easy BUT Jesus did say that if you take one step he will take 9 for you and help you along the way.

@John1576able The Greek word used for repent is "metanoia", or changing one's mind. You can't "give up sinning" before coming to Christ because you do not have the power to! We absolutely should turn our sin over to God and ask him to help us overcome it, but lets not make repentance something its not. Jesus said his yoke was light (Matthew 11:28-30), so lets not make it harder for people. Just because something is preached harder does not mean it is more right.

Otherwise by your definition it is a work and would also be a contradiction to what the Bible teaches, which is that we are saved by grace through faith. You can't have it both ways. Check the book of revelation which says that the righteous in God will be in heaven. Jesus is the best way, but for those who have not heard his message, God judges them on their righteousness with God.Otherwise, no Jew would be in heaven at all.

I am sad to say that you have twisted the scriptures. Just because the bible says that works wont save you it doesn't mean that godly works are not necessary for a life of faith. Just as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead. Faith and works actually work together.

What does it actually mean 'to believe'? The book of James teaches that faith without works is dead. Believing means to 'trust and obey'. So you are certainly wrong on that point because Christ surely wants us to repent of our sins and to turn to Him in faith. An repentance is in the bible. Jesus preached, 'Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand'. You are clearly in the wrong by condemning these good godly men.

That is one of the places where the phrase: "repent of one's sins" is used and it is one of the key places in the scripture that you should follow in order to receive Christ. Most do not understand what Christ is talking about because they start with a faulty understanding. Christ is telling everyone to repent (turn) from following the letter of the law to faith in Him and that he has fullfilled the law. Without the law there is no wrongdoing possible. In Christ one can only grieve the Holy Spirit by not beign obedient to Christ.
