You should make a video on studio-quality lighting with Fong/Demb attachments - most of those Pro haters will turn into your fans. Then why not bring it up another level and shoot it on location, in a derelict factory or abandoned train track or something, while wearing a classy silk dress and 7" stiletto heels - they'll just love it, I promise.

You're advice, while with good intentions in mind,I find to be at the very least, lazy. I am not a professional photographer, but I do my own printing (fiber and digital prints). I chose this method because I want control over the final outcome, and not have a mistake such as a color profile(a technical term: a little file you get when your calibrating) go out of whack.

When I do send work out, it's to a local or a major lab like Bay Photo, because they double check to see if everything is OK.

this makes me laugh, but also makes me feel embarrassed, and i get a lot of hate because i give my clients print permission and cd. i feel connected to her on the video because i do alot of SNL style skits like this for my husband and kids, minna-soda style accent and big bright no blinking eyes.. mmkay, this is a clever way to be informative, and make a little fun...

funny thing is that costco doesn't do to bad with printing. good for gifts to friends and family, but never for a portfolio or professional prints. really glad i subscribed to this channel, and just think about all the "professionals" who think this advice is fantastic. love it!

If you so cheap to print your client's work at CostCo, the cheaper images will produce cheap quality. How do you know that the printer setup they use ate the same qaulity of your cd you give to your client. Haven't you heard of zenfolio that does PROFESSIONAL prints and is $100 per annum? You can use also the online gallery as your main gallery, it is so easier and the client can choose what images they want to buy and print, use this code to get it $5 cheaper. RSY-Z5Z-H2Z

Ok, I feel so much better that this must be a joke. Saw the first 3 and thought iit could be real, because I know some MWACs like that. But the whole prints from costco reminded me of the episode from Judge Joe Brown that put a couple of MWACs in their place for messing up a wedding job.
