and also if a pedophile is a believer and repents does that mean he goes to heaven? lol that seems kind of fcked up to have pedos in heaven. the bible has more plot holes than a harry potter movie or a piece of swiss cheese.
if "god" is perfect then perfection should prevent him from creating something less than perfect otherwise he wouldn't be a perfect being, but as you can see today that is nowhere near the case. if god is forgiving then why are all the nonbelievers who have NEVER done anything bad in their life going to burn in hell? seems like you "god" is more evil and arrogant than good. "believe in me or else you burn in hell" yea no thank you.
and here's a paradox for ya: if God is perfect and all good, and everything he created is perfect, then why are the things that happen, happening? millions of innocents who have never done a thing born into poverty and dying before 12, seems "god" has a sick sense of humor. although i'll give you this the bible is a great fictional read =)
biggest question here: WHERE DID GOD COME FROM? magic? scientists have EVIDENCE of how the universe was at 350,000 years old. the universe isn't even 20 billion years old so how is the earth possibly 20 billion years old. the UNIVERSE itself is only around 14 billion years old. big bang theory might still be a theory but it sure as hell has much more evidence of existence than "god". and like Allen said, the BB wasn't a "bang", it was an extreme expansion.
Wonder if Jacob Barnett boy Genius working on advancing the Big Bang theory will show the non-believers the plausibility of God existing. Will he be the one to disprove the father of lies first?
So you don't know how the big bang happened but you just accept that it's true.Hmmm sounds familiar hmmm like a religion. Haha you people look down on us cause we believe in something higher when you yourselves are doing the same. We call them pastors or Rabbis or whatever you just called them sciencetist. Haha its the same thing and you think you are so better cause you got the truth(haha). There is no truth that we will ever figure out but I know bullshit when i hear it.
@awsawss Where my belief in the origin of the universe differs from religious belief is that it is open to verification and can change when new information comes around. If strong evidence came forth showing the Big Bang could not have happened then I will not stubbornly stand by that belief in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary. As is the case with Young Earth Creationists
@freemind62 You can look into it. The earth would have to be over twenty billion years old to prove the big bang theory true, which simply isn't the case.
@freemind62 its been disproven a while ago, look up kent hovind he explains it really great;) and btw greydon is confused about god. you see, hes jelouse of the things that ppl make gods such as money or tv. like if u spend more time doing wordly things rather than be wit him
@awsawss I'm afraid you are terribly mistaken. The "big bang" theory is a cosmological model accounting for a) general spacetime expansion and b) the homogeneous and isotropic nature of the universe. As with any scientific model, observational data can either agree or disagree with it (for instance, look up the CMB, cosmic redshift, or large-scale galactic structure). We may not completely understand how such a process came about, but that doesn't invalidate the theory. QED.
Big Bang theory might as well just be classified as its own religion.
People can only guess what happened, and even if you say some bullshit about energy converting into all the matter in the universe blahblahblah, where did that energy come from?
There will always be the question of, "Well where did that come from?" in any religion or theory about the beginning of the universe,
And the last statement about John 3:16 was ignorant and irrelevant.

Objects that have no mass can exceed the speed of light, so if space has no mass, it can exceed the light speed limit without breaking Einstein’s laws. I’m not even sure about what your trying to say about red shift. #3 This is like trying to say the theory of evolution is wrong because we can’t tell you exactly how life started; We accept the theory of BB because all the evidence points to this theory, not because we can explain its origin.
Tachyons are Theoretical mass-less particles that travel faster than the speed of light. They’ve never been proven to exist, but our current equations tell us that they can exist. Also, if you consider space a physical object, it is important to note that it is expanding faster than the speed of light. Their is a lot of wriggle room in both these ideas, but their Interesting none the less.
@jib1000 Imagine warping space, time, creating Wormholes. Military applications would probably be numerous, Transporter, traveling to other galaxies. Terra-forming applications. A LOT of cool stuff.
Like many atheists believe, they only base their knowledge on the more likely reasons. But for a churning soup of chemicles, gasses and otherwise is very exremely unlikely to create life. I have yet to see living cells come from a bunch of chemicles.
If you had an entire empty planet with organic molecules and several million years to watch it i bet you would see it.
The prob;em with people who think abiogenesis and evolution are because of how unlikely it is don't understand the huge amount of: space (the whole surface of the earth), chemicals (the earths oceans full of organic materials), and time (billions of years). These are huge numbers for your "unlikely" event.
@eggsaladinthetub its actually around 1 billion years from the formation of earth until single celled life started. But part of that time the earth was cooling and organic molecules were forming.
So i said several million. Call it 800 million if you like.
@eggsaladinthetub Ok whats your point? I was guessing with 800 million. So 50 million. The odds of life forming in that time over that much volume with that much mass is obviously pretty good... we're here.
that thing about us bein at the centre of the earth was such shit. christians said that the earth was at the centre of everything. the big bang shows that our solar system is near the centre BECAUSE GALAXIES ARE MOVING AWAY FROM US!! i don't thing that guy understood english. if things are moving away from us, that means we are at the centre of this movement i can understand that, and i'm 13 years old.
Thanks for the reply, though as you stated, dark matter is still a myth, a hypothetical solution to many math problems regarding scientific studies of the universe. It is true that this matter can not be seen, but light matter can. Its a touchy field but i do appreciate the return. Quite amusing !!!! Perhaps technological evolution shall yield proper acquisition !
thanks, the ignorant, Strikenetter, always willing to learn !!
@strikenetter Myth is most definitely the wrong word to use. It's gravity has been measured quite accurately by multiple methods on multiple occasions. It is there. We just don't know what it is made of. We can't see it as it doesn't emit light.
Im not even an amateur on this theory, but dark matter, this is a hypothesis or just a "theory" required for mathematical equations to calculate correctly, right ? I don't know the specifics of this mathematical theory but i have read it on several occasions, so is dark matter just a theoretical anomaly ?
@strikenetter It's complicated, but "Dark Matter" is the name given to the mysterious matter that makes up a large chunk of the universe. We cannot see it, but we know it is there as they can measure its gravity. There is more mass in the universe than we can see. Whoever finds out what DM is will probably get a Nobel Prize.
Thanks, @ THC, have never read of earth moving toward any bodies, only bodies emitting red shift, moving away. If you could give me a site on which to spectate the blue shift and earth moving towards planets i would appreciate it.
would u believe if some1 told u they wanted 2cross a river where their were no boats& all of sudden pieces of wood rose from the river & formed in 2 a boat which then took him across??? NO,EXACTLY.if such a small thing could not bring itself together,HOW can the Whole WORLD,the Whole UNIVERSE & ALL its CONTENTS come together by itself & work on thier own?
guess it was the big bang heh? Bangs/Explosions cause chaos, deformity & destruction not PERFECTION!
If the universe is expanding are all bodies moving away from earth ? This would make the earth the center of the BB. Sound familiar ? The earth is flat? If bodies were moving toward earth and and earth was moving toward bodies i would find it more believable ! After initial expansion, were all particles moving at the same rate unlike a blast ?/?? If so, the big bang is definitely a bullshit theory !!Only a blast could deem the big bang logical, but only if bodies were also moving towards us.
@strikenetter The Earth is not the centre, nor is anywhere. Imagine a sphere. there are 6 objects within it. The sphere expands, but the objects stay where they are IN RELATION TO EACH OTHER the distance between them is different, but they are in the same relative positions. From any viewpoint within the sphere it would look like they are moving away from you, but in reality they are all moving away from each other as space expands. It is simply a matter of perspective.
Things are moving away from the earth because our point of reference is the earth. However, if our point of reference was the star Sirius, the earth would be moving away relative to Sirius. How you ever hear of relativity?
Also bodies are moving towards us as well (or us toward them) such as the Andromeda Galaxy & Barnard's star. This is confirmed by a blue shift in their emitted light. Just as a red shift occurs in objects moving away.
@strikenetter the andromeda galaxy is moving right at us... and the earth can't be the center of the galaxy because it REVOVLES AROUND THE FUCKING SUN, that means its awlays moving, tthat doesnt meant he fucking universe revolves WITH the earth around the sun... if u went and stood on pluto it would look like it was the center of the universe, how can no one fucking understand that simple concept.. and i really don't even think most atheist truly understand what Expansion means in space time
we know there was a singularity because we are expanding, but if all matter/energy is in said singularity and it exists, then (thermodynamics) it is constant, and should not explode/expand or whatever you call it, unless it is acted upon by an outside force, which is illogical because all forces and matter were in the singularity, so we should still be in a singularity, but we are not because we are expanding, but if we are expanding then...
the BB was not an explosion, it was an expansion of space-time. and thermodynamics is one of the reasons we came up with the BB in the first place.
as to how singularity got there, how all that energy got collected in that "dot", that is still unknown but ofcourse that has nothing to do with the big bang itself,
existed outside of the singularity (according to the BBT), because you say that all the forces existed inside the singularity, and the expansion was caused somehow by gravity, which doesn't make sense. Why did gravity do whatever id did, when it did? how could CONSTANT FORCES that were known to be balanced suddenly react without an OUTSIDE INFLUENCE if all the forces and matter were contained in the singularity? If the singularity did ever exist, shouldn't it still exist? but look around you. it
your answer lies in quantum gravity. it makes sense to assume gravity was the culprit. it was the first of the forces to become independent and is still the only force causing problems for quantum mechanics, leading me to speculate that there is something special about gravity science fails to explain...currently. there's plenty of theories and one will work itself out
5:40 - you say what if the universe always existed
well we know it didnt, because, LIKE YOU SAID, the universe is always EXPANDING IN ALL DIRECTIONS. This implies that it once was at a single point, a singularity. Now work forwards: we know that matter remains still unless acted upon by an outside force, and it mooves at the same speed unless acted upon by an outside force. In order for the matter of the universe to expand, it would have to be acted on by an outside force, which couldn't have
another thing to help with your first argument about einsteins theory, check out Aspect's experiment if you havent already, where he separates two electrons from the same atom and no matter how far apart they are if you do something to one of the electrons, the same thing happens to the other INSTANTANEOUSLY proving that energy can exceed the speed of light and shit. i dunno if thats relevant im young and im new to these theories and stuff but if it helps then thats pretty cool right :)
it sure is cool. However you need to be very careful with how you use that. there are a lot of crazy people who hear about that and say it's the mechanism for telepathic communication or that you can use it to send information across the universe. Actually you can't. how it works is basically this: Electrons have spin. In this case one electron MUST have the opposite spin to the other. By a trick of physics the direction of spin is not determined until it is measured. Cont...
So before it is measured the electrons are spinning BOTH ways, and measuring it makes it settle into one. Knowing one of the electrons' spin you know the other as they must be opposite. The point is the direction is Random, and so no information has travelled faster than light; so relativity is not broken.
Energy is a constant, there will never be more or less. The law of entropy is the law of decay. Eventualy everything in the universe will decay and turn into its final state. Dust. Evolution (though i dont belive in it) can explain the progession of things but the one thing it cant is how things came to be. The notion of a big crunch would be impossible because energy does not just randomly create matter. Matter is as energy, a constant. Matter will not just disappear. It will Decay.
Yes the scientific consensus is that the universe will end with protons just decaying into a mix of sub-atomic particles. But this won't happen for another 10^100 years (that's 100 zeroes!) so still a while yet. As for energy randomly making matter in fact it does, all the time, look up "virtual particles"
Saying that there was a big crunch just raises further questions. Where did another universe come from? Did anyone acctualy see it? If there were other universes before ours that leads to infinity why is it so hard to say that god is infinite?
In fact it just means we have the same problems as we have now, just instead of one instance we have two. Like having 1+1=? just there are two of them. In fact most physicists don't think there will be a "big crunch", but rather everything will expand into oblivion.
No. An object with mass cannot exceed the speed of light as that would require more than infinite energy. The universe (not the objects in it) has no mass and so is not bound by this restriction. Does this answer your question?
I think the whole black hole thing was trying to say that there couldn't be a big bang because "it would just be a black hole, the gravity would be too strong." That would just be a shun to modern cosmology though.
Since i made the video i've looked into what it might have meant about the black hole. One explanation of where the big bang came from was that a previous universe condensed into one giant black hole (Big Crunch)and that then exploded to create the big bang. That theory, however, fell out of favour a while back with astrophysicists. But who knows what they meant.
An explanation to the black hole comment.
The Big Bang theory is suggested to be everything in 1 spot, aka, like a black hole, which has everything compressed.
What they fail to understand, is matter wasn't "matter" before the BB, it was energy, and it had some different qualities.
After the Energy separated into anitmatter/matter, protons and electrons etc, didnt bond to atoms right away, it took a long time.

another thing to help with your first argument about einsteins theory, check out Aspect's experiment if you havent already, where he separates two electrons from the same atom and no matter how far apart they are if you do something to one of the electrons, the same thing happens to the other INSTANTANEOUSLY proving that energy can exceed the speed of light and shit. i dunno if thats relevant im young and im new to these theories and stuff but if it helps then thats pretty cool right :)

it sure is cool.

Did they even know that a priest was the one who thought of the BB theory

really?

yeah, catholic I think....

now that is what i call irony.
by the way.. you dont believe in God??
Pua8 2 years ago
I believe in the jewish god, cause he has the coolest beard
Nades129 2 years ago
there is not the least bit of fun in disrespecting others' belief.
Nothing is like God and He is like none of His creatures.--> You CANT imagine Him,cause He is like NOTHING He created.
Pua8 2 years ago
well we know beards exist. and if beards exist then the possibility of god is next to none. So I lose nothing

here evolution finally disproven by modern science.

MessiahComing 3 years ago
Yes the scientific consensus is that the universe will end with protons just decaying into a mix of sub-atomic particles. But this won't happen for another 10^100 years (that's 100 zeroes!) so still a while yet. As for energy randomly making matter in fact it does, all the time, look up "virtual particles"

Also "Evolution" isn't the right word to use in this situation. Evolution is a biological concept and shouldn't really be applied to astrophysics.

totally agree with you.

Saying that there was a big crunch just raises further questions. Where did another universe come from? Did anyone acctualy see it? If there were other universes before ours that leads to infinity why is it so hard to say that god is infinite?
MessiahComing 3 years ago
In fact it just means we have the same problems as we have now, just instead of one instance we have two. Like having 1+1=? just there are two of them. In fact most physicists don't think there will be a "big crunch", but rather everything will expand into oblivion.
freemind62 3 years ago
Wait... So the big bag can defy physics because it was expanding?
MessiahComing 3 years ago
