  • what's the exacty takeoff time?

  • That is so Awesome! The view, especially the windshields, reminds me a bit of driving my '57 Crown bus. Except for the instrumentation and the part about leaving the ground LOL! I would love to own one someday, to be able to go where the bus can't...

  • Great aeroplane and part of history too. Thank you for sharing this video with us.

  • Cockpit window is open! They going to a drive-thru?

  • What are the red and yellow levers for?

  • @tedlam168 Mixture Levers, the one on the right is just faded.

  • Very awesome! I wonder how much it would cost to own one of those. Maintenance cost and everything

  • @alexancia5279 They average 200k and figure $1500hr operating expenses, and well worth the cost

  • @smokingws6 Dang! Thats a pretty penny! They have clubs the own them dont they? That would shave off big cost wouldnt it?

  • You think that keeping clean windows would be a priority, especially in bright, harsh sunlight. Those look like my old professors glasses. FILTHY. What a great plane the DC3 is. Still in commercial service around the globe. I would love to have one to restore. A great weekend project (for many years). Great post.

  • @smacman68 the dc-3 is a filthy whore, of course they are dirty!

  • The sound of the P&W R-1830-92s at full bore on take off gives me an orgasmic pleasure.

  • @767gonza In B4 someone points out the plane was actually using different engines.........

This video made me wonder what i would wear if i actually flew a plane someday, something about shorts and sneakers just doesn't seem video.....

  • I wish I could fly.. too bad i'm colorblind :(

  • @falaqdad15 You could still fly.

  • wow that is a superb vid and the sound is superb thanks for posting

  • I wish I could fly a DC-3 one day, best plane ever built!

  • Cockpit view reminds me somewhat of my 1973 Land Rover. Obviously, fewer dials etc, but the split windscreen, noise & vibration are similar. Thanks for posting this, I've always been a fan of the DC3.
