He actually beatbox's it. There is a difference between beatbox and singing. I am pretty confident that McFerrin CAN sing Ave Maria-kinda wish he did actually.

@4530NanoMio Actually, this is indeed a composition by Charles Gounod, based on Bach's first prelude from the Well-Tempered Clavier. Schubert wrote also an "Ave Maria" but it's a completely different thing. ;-)

Bach composed the Music ( Well tempered clavier Book I - Prelude No. 1 in C major) and Gounod just fused it with his version of the Ave maria ( and no one said that his was the only one there are a lot of them ). Franz Schubert wrote his own music for an opera... i don't mean to troll but you should check your history before you make those kind's of accusations =)
