I hate math, too. I don't think I've used a day of college algebra in my real life and if I did I would certainly use the internet or a program to help me solve the problems faster.
Many students hate math because they have massively inflated egos. They like to feel they are good at everything, because well, it feels good to think that way.
Mathematics is based on logic and rules. You can't just "wish" something to be a certain way, and it will be so. You must submit to the inviolable rules, and correct yourself, in order to learn it. "Submission" isn't really the chic thing these days among America youth.
