I didn't catch it on Lifetime but the movie surprised me too. I only started watching it because I have this strange need to watch films when Dominique Swain is in them, and they're usually average or below-average albeit interesting movies.
But I love the way the score, setting, pace, characters, and tone of this film fit together so well.
What I object to about Lifetime is the victim ideology that underlies its programming. Women are invariably portrayed as victims of men, and men are invariably portrayed as violent misogynists. I can't escape the sense that someone who thinks like Robin Morgan, the former editor-in-chief of Ms. Magazine who infamously wrote that "mam hating is a viable and honorable POLITICAL option," is the program manager at Lifetime.

I usually can't stand Lifetime. It's very girlish and sometimes too chickish for me.
However, I happened to catch this movie on last night and it was very good I must say. I loved the ending, especially the soundtrack.
I was surprised by the fact that this movie was actually decent compared to what is usually on Lifetime.
