  • holographic tvs will hit the market in 2017 guys....

  • LOL i thought that was a kim jong il hologram on the thumbnail

  • a consumer version of this will be relied soon that was 2009 now it's nearly 2012 is it relised yet

  • @TheCollinsd1 Well i just checked a website in which i came to this video and it said the year in which this would possibly be released ( But hey nothing is perfect in timing i suppose ) is in 2020

  • I love u japan...also Konami, nintendo and PS3

  • Reflecting light off nothing. Troll science.

    Thumbs up.

  • This will make flying dicks possible

  • ya when i become 80 i will finally see this.

  • this is great news for porn

  • Yes or be a part of the most elaborate hoax mankind has ever seen. Trust me this technology is very old by the elite standards *cough* project blue beam *cough*

  • just make sure you never put your hand through it

  • japan has 4D TVs

  • I see a string or wire from top to bottom being spun around with an LED light attached.

  • @Daddybopper thats ur brain

  • @Daddybopper its concentrated electricity. as for the "string", that is just glare on the camera lens. The same line shaped glare that you see from filming the sun (another bright source of light). Dont ask me how they are able to arrange the shapes in mid air, thats what makes them able to patent the product! some amazin mutha F#*&$# shiz man

  • @Daddybopper dude, they don't need strings or LEDs these days, when they want to create a fake video - have you heard about CGI?

  • Bat signal?

  • "In space where there is nothing but air."

    Space.

    Air.

    WHAT THE HELL JAPAN?

  • @zombiesrcuming4u "Space" in this context simply means room.

  • The music reminds me of Resident Evil 5: The Mercenaries Mode

  • *SWAT!* stupid mosquito...

  • The first use he proposes for the tech is advertisement? I hope they have thin air pop-up blockers.

  • you bomb a country and they surpass you in every aspect of economic dominance...bravo japan...

  • I can't belive the first thing he mentioned was advertising in the air. I really miss the stars.

  • SHINKU---HADOOOUKEN!

  • IT'S JACKIE CHAN!!!

  • hes charging up his super hadouken attack

  • i wanna play yugioh with hologram monsters

  • porn in 3D

  • Wow, the lichting actually reflect on his hands 0_o

  • Forcing a viewer to watch an ad before a video is counter productive.

    IT PISSES THEM OFF!!

  • Japaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnn!!!

  • people want to watch porn consisting of a couple of dots of light?

  • just look at that guy gathering his energy for a kamehameha wave attack

  • Oh god LETS WATCH RAMBO ON THIS e.e R.I.P

  • yeah i really wanna watch porn with that thing

  • Porn :D

  • advertising... of course, its advertising !

  • Oh great, adverts in the air. Fucking joy.

  • I dont care what they use it for. Even if they use it for advertising it would be cool.

  • @piskapiskapiska I don't think it is really. I guess consumer electronics is in Japan, but it's not really that far ahead of U.S.A. and that. It's just that that's what they are focusing on. it's interesting and novel so thats why it 's reported on, but overall I think Japan is equal with the other developed countries, it just focuses on the mass market.

  • Real vocaloid holograms would be awesome! :D

  • I think it's really sad that the first thing they think of as a use for it is for advertising.

  • Dots swirling in the air... that's some intense shit man.

  • @RedoubtWolf Meanwhile, in Japan xD

  • The Star Wars communication device :D anyone? :D

Combine it with Kinect and you have the communication device in Star Wars.

  • will it blend ?

  • Its 2011 and I still haven't seen any consumers hologram product out yet.......

  • yes, but what does it do?

  • It's funny his first thought was to use this to freakin advertise and not anything else... damn sell out.

  • Japan= The Future

    NO JOKE!!!!!

  • advertising on tv, radio, games, streets, office, sky, mountains, and now the fking air?!?!?!?!?

  • mataramasuko

  • the video said true 3d tvs are coming out soon. that was 5 years ago. where is it?

  • @65macky It's here... lol been out for almost 2 years now?

  • @Chrismonchan that is 3d as in holograms not the 3d actual tv´s use

  • we're that much closer to a lightsaber!

  • god why does everyone always think about porn on these. go get a girlfriend

  • @stickman1234567891 my girlfriend (now my wife) also watch porn

  • WTF is wrong with people every video I go onto about new technology the top rated commetnts are always about porn. God go get a girlfriend.

  • 0:15 Our dear leader!

And it's nice that we're getting there but 0:50 bothers me. I wouldn't want some advert about male grooming products popping out in front of me every 5 minutes.

  • How is that possible. I see that same japanese dude in all of those japanese invetins video's. He must be a genius

  • @DrummerRF No, they all look the same ;)

  • @DrummerRF hahaha you made my day :D

  • @Tageolsson Haha, i do fail at typing inventions

  • @DrummerRF Jackie Chan is pretty smart.

  • @DrummerRF they just all look the same i think

  • I hate those stupid CSI shows where all their equipment is holographic, and in Iron man how he has a holographic everything. Totally unrealistic.

  • 2006 its 2011...wheres the friggin hologram AVATAR DVD...I want to touch the blue aliens breasts...

  • I'm going to go to Japan and buy a whole bunch of technology and bring it back to america!

  • Thumbs up if you think the guy at 0:14 looks like kim jong Il

  • What is the tune playing in the background called???

  • The guy in the beginning looks like Kim Jong IL

  • goddamnit how does it work? magic?

  • 0:15 to 0:25, The guy from that angle looks like Kim Jong Il. lol

  • I'd Love to play C.O.D on that!

  • ttoe (they think of everything)

  • Japon is future !!!!!!!!! Is .... Artificial intelligence!! Very very, good!!

  • EPIC. The Japanese really know how to be epic.

  • "Advertising". Great, more advertising. How about some real fucking content by some real artists that has something other than selling things to say??

  • this got to be star wars

  • fucking advertising

  • is that just free floating or is it on a glass or something?

  • imagine watching playboy with that

  • Comment removed

  • @will2913 go to bed, and no more looking at dad's secret magazine box ok?

  • Desde este momento voto por la prohibicion de esta tecnologia si es para uso publicitario

  • so what hell has happened for the last 5 years? I don't see this technology anywhere?

  • looks like a gnat with a tiny flashlight attached

  • an LED light attached to a string....... EXCELLENT PROGRESS!!

  • I love all they are concerned about is fuckin advertising.

  • Imagine watching porn with that

  • @mongoferd Oh, look he's about to... AAOOOOHHWW.

  • @mongoferd ahahaha that would be awesome :P

  • So this is how the Wii 3D idea came to be?

  • I'm surprised... no tsunami jokes O: :D

  • maybe one day, with this, and holophonic spot audiosound, we probably living in a world full of chimera, that's pretty creepy if virtual was spot on real life.

  • Just imagine... This will revolutionize media as we know it!

(And enhance the realism of children's card games! Is Yu-Gi-Oh! going to become a reality?)

  • @Rrruffles231 YUGIOH...YOUR HOLOGRAMS ARE MY ONLY HOPE

    sorta star wars reference there...

  • It's mad, they create new digital holographic media and the first thing they think of is advertising?!?

  • @GraphicProdigy , tragic isnt it hehe, very sad planet indeed

  • kim jung il secret weapon hadouken!

  • So this explains the Jerusalem incident...

  • Now all we need are planet crackers for Dead Space IRL.

  • wats up with advertising now?? serously its ruininbg the world, no one is going to go to your fricken business just because u have a sign saying that its good, from your perspective.

  • I love that they put advertising before disaster relief.

  • 3d imaging on no plain at all- no surface?

    Boundary is now -shattered..!!

    What next.!!! Lolol :^-

  • The Boundary has been shattered..!!

    Bring it on..!!

    Holographic images..!!

Existing without putting light on a Surface?

    What next..!!

  • LOL XD cool holograms DO exist now, now we think its awesome, but in the future we'll see all the bad signs like brainwashing LOLOL XD

  • @chickensandw1tch lets just hope its not going to be abused with things like pornography *sigh* the world these days

  • 0:45 thought the guy was trying to practice his kai blast like in dragon ball.

  • nice tv that displays a spinning dot... woooo

  • @WOWmcs well ya gotta start somewhere retard, lol

  • I like the part where they showed the hologram.

  • at 1:19 "A consumer version of the hologram tv is expected to be released soon."

this video was made 4 years ago and this was uploaded to YouTube a year ago.

    where is my hologram tv?

  • Glad that ADVERTISING was the first fucking thing they thought of using this for. Brezinksi and Kissinger need to just fucking press the button for the nukes already, this is getting out of hand.

  • hollow-gram pusssssssssyyyyyyy

  • japanese people again huh...?

  • nice

  • cool imagin watching a movie with this sourround u its like being in the middle of the movie without bein able to get hurt.

  • WHY DIDNT HE JUST TOUCH IT.

  • @danthecat21 he wouldnt touch it cause it would turn him into a superhero. The ultra light ray would make him a japanese hulk or something. and he would have to abandon a very important research that could determine the future of advertising. And the Japanese govnt would have to track him down and hunt him And they will make another japanese hulk call him "japanese abomination" so they can fight in the middle of the street.

  • @0TylerDurden0 that would be epic lol

  • JEM!

  • looks like a fibre optic sting spining around..... i call bull s#it

  • Comment removed

  • "A consumer version is expected to be released soon" Where the fuck is it?!!!

  • The guy talking looks a bit like Mitchio kaku

  • he looks a bit like Kim Jung IL

  • great, they're selling our air for ad space too.

  • The nintendo 3DS is already overpast. this new technology will make the 3DS look like a piece of shit.

  • Yea right good making a tv with this shit

  • @gabrielusa911 You'd be the first on your block to own a holographic tv.

  • Greeeat. More advertising. Just what America needs. As if commercials weren't just great enough!

  • @stiny736 just like BACK TO THE FUTURE

  • @ramnathpaip :P

  • @stiny736 everyone needs backing and big name advertisers have the funds to back just about anything if they feel it justifies the cost. So what if they say it would open up the air for advertising a lot of good things will come from it as well...hopefully

  • @Elementecho Rather watch the clouds than the clearance rack.

  • @stiny736 haha, you're right no one needs to see more advertising. But you've gotta love these guys for not trying to hide their intentions. If Microsoft or Apple was doing this they'd be selling it as a tool which is going to revolutionize digital communication and trying to hide the fact that they're doing it to make a quick buck.

  • @Easynameist That is extremely true. And this guy's optimism kinda makes it sound like such great idea. The invention itself is truely remarkable. The thought of commercials in the air, however, is not.

  • @stiny736 wait a minute, this can't be right... someone managed to sell something to us without lying or exaggerating, amazing! i can't wait till word reaches Steve Jobs, maybe he'll stop calling it revolutionary and magical every time he changes the ipod a little bit.

  • @Easynameist "The revolutionary new lock button!"

  • @stiny736 lol

  • @stiny736 who do you think pays for youtube....?

  • @bionikspoon Obviously ads is their number one source of income. You have me pegged, sir. But I was talking about riding down the road on a family trip and you see a giant hologram for Victoria's Secret. As enjoyable as that may be, it's too much.

  • 0:21 his left thumb looks like a penis o.o

  • @YummyTacoz909 It's the same size too.

  • 10 years ago, I already see colorful hologram display. I haven found anything special in this Japanese light. I'd see images beyond these blue dots in the air to impress anyone.

  • @classicleon Thats all tv images are, just loads of dots put together, they are getting there and really....have you ever seen anything like this before??? try and get a laserpen or any kind of device and try to get a dot to stay in midair! Allso, humans are to stupid for this technology to work, if this ever happened you wouldnt beable to walk anywhere public without advertisements and commercials shoved in your face 24/7.

  • Real translation:

"We produce disco light for your house party "

  • First of all - awesome! Second, does anyone know who've done the track playing in the background? It's awesome too!

  • Great idea but bad vid of it. By watching the long complex sentences that move by too fast you can't see the video... even if you did the IDIOT forgot to add HOW IT WORKS! MEDIA ZOMBIES! HOW DOES IT PROJECT POINTS OF LIGHT IN THE AIR NUT JOBS? NO INFO! JUST FLUFF!

  • this means that you will be able to construct a holographic light saber soon :)

  • @Romanstandrd so far there is no add theres a virus block but not a add thing before your little shows here on youtube its shelf u know and dont believe the the f5or6 button god damn it.

  • KAaaaa MEeeeee HAaaaa MEeee....

  • Top stuff, once you've got the basics like this, it'll only get more resolution from there.

  • oh great a bad flaw thoe is there will be more room for utub to more pop up ads and shit on the side of your pc,

  • @inr21sevier Ad block much?

  • what a LED on a string? wobble wobble

  • Is that Kim Jung il? :P

  • holographic porn yesssssssssss

  • om my f'ing god!!.......... isnt that just exactly whats wrong with mankind ?!?!?!

Im blown away by what im seeing, just mindboggling...... and sure enough, our first goddamn intention with this technology.. MORE ADVERTISEMENT.... cause thats what we need......a good ol FY to that !!!

maybe its a good thing this isnt out there yet.......do we really want this in the hands of advertisments companies ?????

  • You know, there are some glasses that are pretty cheap for sale that looks like normal nice sunglasses, and projects movies or what ever you want to be projected. Only you can see it and hear it. And don't worry you can see through them too. Movies on the go?
