Flabby unfunny Lesbo Josie Long should scour her library for titles like "How to perform Original Comedy", "How not to dress like an eternal student/Greenham Common Dyke", "How to make people genuinely laugh (not out of embarrassment)", "It's all in the punchline" and "Career for people who should have one"...............She's a cunt.
@davymgaunt not quite as stupid or irrelevant as your original comment which implied that your opinion on her appearance had anything to do with this video or her abilities as a comedian. also you write like you're 55. just saying.
I had to rewatch this like 3 or 4 times to write down all the books she said... I'm quite happy to have read a good number of those already!!! Thanks Josie!!!! :)
@jaredneedsalife what the actual hell? She's giving her personal, subjective top five books (in various permutations) out of every single book in literature ever. Guess she's really gutted she didn't happen to include the select handful that would coincide with your personal choices. Plus she's an Oxford graduate who read English so I'm guessing she's not ill-read at all - even more impressive is that she's not simply relying on the tired Dickens/Austen/Bronte formula. You patronising fuck.
@loonydaydreams Oh, she's really an Oxford Graduate? That's good, because it means I can stop feeling inadequate for having only read a handful of the books she mentioned, even though I'm at least 5 years older than she is.

Cute girl but ill read. I mean where on earth is Henry Miller. Orwell - where is he. Not to mention Bukowski or Nabokov. Carver is a good call but if you are mentioning contemporary stuff what about Will Self? Sad to see Celine was not mentioned and also I'm guessing she has not got around to Thus Spoke Zarathustra by Neitzche. And no bloody Dostoyevsky, I wasn't expecting crime and punishment perhaps but come on - at least mention notes from the underground.
@jaredneedsalife Ha ha you are soooo pretentious! You don't even make me angry, you're such an idiot. I mean really, If you actually read and understood those books then I would expect you would understand the definition of subjectivity.
Does any body know what Josie chose as the three books that she had read but not thoroughly? The only one I could make out was 'The Confidence Man' by Herman Melville. Thanks in advance
@funkmasterkhan Thanks for that - All the books that are recommended (the ones I have read I mean) are really good. I love Kurt Vonnegut and I'm gonna buy some Richard Yates tomorrow
WTF are the thumbs down for? I get 6 thumbs down for this harmless little joke about Intra-North-American jealousy and rivalry... where as all the drooling dickheads get away unscathed? for shame Youtube, for shame!
well, my 'drool' comment about wanting to give her a sex cuddle (i would really really fucking love to) didnt go unscathed...i've got minus one so far.
I think she's really cool and really cute too! (not to mention really clever cos she managed to get a few dozen books in there when she's only meant to pick 5!)
Similar taste in books to me... I love Kurt Vonnegut, haven't read Slapstick or Hocus Pocus yet though. Also don't like Chuck Palahniuk as much as I used to.
Reading American Psycho at the moment, think it's a bit over-rated but it's alright.

I saw her live and she's simply not funny. How the fuck did she win awards? I'm not trying to be nasty, I genuinely am curious. What do people see in her? When I saw her, hardly anyone laughed. I saw another performance on tv, and barely any laughs there either. And that was supposed to show how "brilliant" and "fresh" she is. She claims she is "turning comedy on its head", by not being funny? I really don't get it. Is she completely overrated or just an aquired taste? Or has the world gone mad?
no mate, you're just a little bit too smart, hip and cynical and cooool for your own damn good. Not your fault. Chill out and stop hating yourself - she's the comedy equivalent of Vitamin C and sunshine. Now stop grinding your teeth at someon elses success cos the noise is getting on my nerves. Now give us a hug and sod off you grumpy puss. xxxx
