  • I just Google mapped it. I didn't know that this building is close to my house. I can get there in 23 minutes.

  • @rhomis Oh! Then you should definitely visit! It is a beautiful cemetery and the Groundskeeper is a very sweet man. His name is Bob- he is used to NOTLD fans coming to visit.

  • @GhoulsWithTools

This coming weekend, I may visit the place. I used to do professional photography years ago, but as a hobby now (now digital). I am so tempted to document some HD photos of the building. Perhaps some 3D anaglyph photos and video, in HD.

Question: If enough money is raised to restore the building, will that include restoring the original railing in the front? Will the main door remain, or will it be replaced with something that matches the original?

  • @rhomis Sorry for the delay in replying to this one- i've had some back problems that limit my time on the computer. If you do do any photography or 3D stuff, I know Gary would love to see it! As for the restoration, the plans are to try and get it as close to original as possible...where possible. Some parts will have to be replaced outright. Not sure @ the door or railing. I will ask Gary and get back to you.

  • at the 2:11 mark what is that burned out building? did vandals torch it?

  • @378904 It was a shed. They had just moved a bunch of stuff out of the chapel and into that shed...then it caught fire and burned down. Pretty sure they put a new shed up now. We're all just happy it wasn't the chapel that caught fire!

  • @crackheadjeesus hahaa! Yer a douche Jesus...hahaa!

  • @MegaEvilCrow It is relatively dry inside. But the weather has eroded the mortar..so there are lots of cracks that will just get worse with time. Plus the foundation needs to be either re-done or jacked back up and leveled out.

  • Good Luck, it will be nice to see this historic building saved! Will they use it afterwards?

  • @POPARTPRODUCTlONS Yep! Gary is looking into becoming ordained- he's already had several requests to perform marriages there and Gor and I plan on renewing our vows there once the chapel is restored. So it will be used for weddings and Gary is thinking of turning it into a NOTLD museum eventually.

  • Many years of neglect, but it is still worth saving.

  • @citizenkong yes it is, FezKong. You should see it in person. While Gor and I were there, Bob, the groundskeeper let us have a look inside. It is definitely fixable...but yes...desperately needs lots of love. And man is that cemetery beautiful! By the way, Joe Barbarisi shot this footage. He is the one making the documentary about all of this. Joe and everyone else active in this effort so far are amazing human beings. Genuinely nice people.
