Kids in the hatch being filmed would be my guess. From the video, it looks like after cutting off the big truck, the driver (inexperienced) over-corrected and the hatch swerved back into oncoming traffic right in time for what it looks like a fuel tanker to smash into it. Looks like the tanker also crashed while attempting to avoid smashing into the hatch. Black smoke = fuel burning most likely diesel. It also could be diesel from the truck itself and not necessarily it's cargo
