Damn I wouldn't wanna be put up against that cone, it looks pretty damn strong sitting there in its rubber and plastic wrapping. I'm sure that would wreck if not destroy a 3700 pound car.
@dnightriderb actually a quality restoration/resto-mod costs that much or more depending on your taste. there are many clients at the shop i used to work at who gladly dumped that amount into a classic.
@OldsPowered69 umm maybe if it was like all original but still those not look original and ill like to see a paper showing the bill or i wont be able to believe it lol sorry but nice camaro
@dnightriderb i believe your thinking of a resale amount...100k figure is not that, but the investment in which the owner has put into the vehicle. AND trust me, 100k tab on a classic car with man hours included EASILY fetches 6 figure price tags...if and when your in the market for a quality restoration or resto-mod you will soon figure it out. good luck to ya.
you know whats the difference between german, jap and american classics? American classic cars value will always go up and up while the others go down and down. Like my 70 camaro, hmm i wonder how much it will be worth in 20 years
@Rowdie999 yeah, explain the value of an original Mazda rx3 or r100, a KPGC10 Skyline GTR, a Mazda 110s Cosmo, Toyota 2000gt. an Audi Urquattro, an original BMW M3.... the list goes on. stop thinking America have the highest selling classics because they don't.
@ducatiracing i don't know what your point is exactly, but this comparison of yours just doesn't make any sense. Btw, none of the cars you just listed comes close in value to an original 69" camaro that's in pristine condition or is originally restored with original parts and has the matching numbers.
@coltsuperocean10 This car probably only cost the modern UK equivalent to around 20k pounds. It's worth $100k only because it's a classic. I don't think you'd see a Porsche, Ferrari, or TVR of the same vintage and condition for that much. $100k is only worth around $65k pounds, and I doubt you'd even get a new Porsche, Ferrari, or TVR for that money.
There's nothing like American Muscle, and you just hate to admit it.
Oh, phew, thank God he didn't hit that cone. His career would be over and surely he'd never be able to afford to wipe out the scuff that would have resulted from such a terrible impact.
ohh my god that was close. i crapped my self for the camaro driver, he is fortunate he didnt make contact with that cone or he would have a pretty big bodywork and paint bill. wow lucky people.
Thats not a bad vid, its kinda funny. Not really false advertising, except maybe the price, unless he paid someone else to build it or got it at one of the overpriced auctions.
Doesn't everybody on the internet make six figures and own a BMW? hahahah. Stop trying to impress everyone with your non-existent monetary possessions. You want to know how i know your bull-shiting? For one, you clearly lack any form of business know how, judging by your misuse of "profit" and "revenue." Secondly if you were making six figures you wouldn't be living at home with your parents.
A: You can go look yourself, for all purposes you proved m point.
B: Dont try to steer away(no pun intended) from the fact that you dont make as much as you say you do.
C: I have no trouble believing that you are saying for a house. However, the amount that your saving is not comparable to if you were making the amount of money you claim to make(which goes back to point B).
C: This video is obviously a joke. You must not understand sarcasm too well.
I dont like or agree with the over inflated price tags on good ole American Muscle cars but I do know theres a difference between all original stock and modified.Thats why Classic/Special interest insurance companies cover under two types of policies. Agreed Value or Stated Value of a classic/special interest vehicle. One type is based on an appraisal and the other based on receipts from work on the car. If you have 100k in receipts thats how much coverage youll have on the car.
everytime i think about posting a vid. of my 69 chevelle i see all these ridiculous comments from ppl who haven't a clue what they are talking about it and say hell no. building a pro touring car is anything but cheap, and the guy isn't an idiot driver/bad driver.
Your knowledge of market value astounds me. Let me know when you find a 1969 Camaro SS for $20,000. I'll give you $30,000 for it. What a generous offer, right?
Let me introduce you to the Barret Jackson Auto Auction. Where you have 25-30k all original classic cars then you have modified professionally CUSOMIZED projects that SELL for 100k plus. If you took a 30k Camaro to Chip Foose, he requires 100k down to start with plus an open ended cash flow account. When its all said and done you ll be forkin out 500k-1million dollars!!! Catch up with the times!!
Only retards with more money than brains buy at Barret Jackson. Its an over rated yuppie event for ultra rich to feel good about themselves. By using BJ as a barometer of the market, you just showed how little you know about the classic marketplace.
you're better off buying a junk 69 out of some hillbillys yard and restoring it yourself than buying from a barret jackson auction
and chip foose is fucking retard, his work has never impressed me or anyone i know. and avalanche2 is right, it doesn't matter how much work is put into a car to restore it, it still is only worth market price. thas why a complete restoration is done more out of love than for money if you own the car.
xKAOTIXx.What decade do you live in? Those days of finding grandmas church Hemi Cuda Convertable in the barn are long gone. Those hillbillies and grandma know, thanks to the internet and TV, that any thing 2 door pre-71 is worth bucks. If your MARKET is ORIGINAL RESTO you will only get that market value no matter how much you spend on labor and ORIGINAL parts. However if you want your 69 2B updated and perform like a Mclaren, your now in the MARKET of MODIFIED RESTO.Same car different market
very right my friend... you only get back market price for a restoration car, even if you put 30+ grand into it. now making a 69 perform like a mclaren? 1 thats nuts, 2 that would THE sickest 69 'Maro on the road. and yes you get a different market for a performance classic like that.
Pre-71 are you stupid what about the 72 cutlass suprem 442 Insanity lol or of course the 72 gran tourino but the inflation of that car is due to the fucking move that came out >_>
bungholio1989 didnt mean to spam ur post i tried to click reply..but i could of swore the 69 had the little grill bs next to the wheels by the drivers/passangers side.. what ever the hell they called
first thing i would do is put higher profile tires on it so it handles again. low profiles dont have much flex, they might have more response but for overall grip u need taller tires. just look at F1 and indy cars.
ummm...ok and how did you come up with that? (hint: when the wheel wells have a square look to them instead of the almost perfectly roundness of the 67 and 68, thats the dead giveaway that proves this is a 69)
that cars worth 100,000 my dad builds camaros for a living and he built a red camaro worth 150 if u go to goodguys u have probobly seen it. it says scr on the seats, scr stands for super car reacreations in kalispell montana
why would this be a Yenko? Dont you see the SS stripes on the car, and an owner of an authentic yenko would never take his yenko camaro on a course like this nowadays.
i would think that before one ould say that the car isnt 100k, i would first need to look at the engine, suspension, any chroming, transmission? weight reduction... whos to say its not, just because it doesnt look mean doesnt mean it isnt, hence the term coined by the drag enthusiast "sleeper"
seriously, that's not a "$100,000 car", it's nice though. A cone would not do shit to a 69 camaro, I see plastic nosed corvettes hit cones at autox all the time, big deal.

what makes it a $100,000 car? I have 2 Camaros worth about $100,000 between them. So, I know a little about these cars.

i would think that before one ould say that the car isnt 100k, i would first need to look at the engine, suspension, any chroming, transmission? weight reduction... whos to say its not, just because it doesnt look mean doesnt mean it isnt, hence the term coined by the drag enthusiast "sleeper"

That is a Badass Camaro SS

It would not have wrecked the car. The cone would have just fallen over. And how is it worth 100k? Its not even stock.

if you've got a $80,000 Camaro that's an almost crash, we should add into a cone!

seriously, that's not a "$100,000 car", it's nice though. A cone would not do shit to a 69 camaro, I see plastic nosed corvettes hit cones at autox all the time, big deal.

thats not an almost crash, far, from it.
