ive had hep c for 16 yrs now. im chronic hep c but my viral load last time checked was only 600. would this naringenin work to lower my viral load even more? and im wondering if this really works. im afraid to try it because who knows if it makes things worse. this needs to be studied more. im gonna ask my doctor if he ever heard of this.
"By finding that HCV is secreted from infected cells by latching onto vLDL, we have identified a key pathway in the viral lifecycle," says Yaakov Nahmias, PhD, of the MGH-CEM, the paper's lead author.*
Their experiments confirmed that naringenin does reduce the secretion of HCV from infected cell lines and showed that the compound inhibits the mechanism for secreting a specific lipoprotein that binds HCV.
These are two quotes from the study done at Boston General Hospital. Lloyd
I had have HepC, but only one year. I eated every day one Grapefruit(Nariginin). Ich have eat ist 3 month- my HepC is over now. Big luck!
But how longer you have the Virus, I think then is Narigini nothing for you. Take Interferon- it is the only Chance to life 15-20Years- but you must clean by Interferon.
Perhaps the reason this supplement doesn't work for all is that it's only specific to certain types of viral infections, or the person taking it is mitigating its response by consuming sugar, alcohol or other adverse products?
Does the breakdown occur primarily in the stomach? Would an enteric coating make it more bioavailable (you could take out fish oil and put the naringenin tablet into the coating maybe?)
It also inhibits 3-hydroxy-3-methyl-glutaryl conenzyme A the same effect as the statin drugs, without the awful side effects (including mental sluggishness and hepatotoxicity). Don't expect any studies against high density cholesterol unless they can patent a delivery method, as the statins make a mint for Big Pharma.
Which studies? Do any placebo controlled studies show seroconversion after a course of oral naringenin? rhetorical question: Assuming that oral naringenin can cure Hepatitis C, wouldn't IV naringenin, since it bypasses the partial GI tract breakdown, have a clinical effect in a greater pct. of cases or rid the body of the virus more completely? Also I think jasmonic acid might be useful given concomitantly, as it inhibits naringenin-7-O-methyltransferase, an enzyme that breaks down naringenin.
Same here ,except I have done treatment ,I have got rid of the virus ,but the treatment is horrific .I'm wary of the alternative stuff ,just as much as the drug company stuff, sadly much of this is about money ( ie making money at desperate people's expense)
I am in a similar situation to Heppers helper. I got a bad blood transfusion for an ulcer While in my 9 years of service long story short they turned me down for any tratments or attempts at such. You have to request the US gov to get permission to file a lawsuit.myy question is at 26 year am I just taking a crap shoot even with vitamins and milk thistlealonng with 9 other meds for HBP heart Reflux& a broken and irresponsibly repaid by the Vey's hospital?

I have a question, what age do have to be to take Naringenin? Can a child take this product?

can i take oxymatrine and naringenin at the same time?
Lynllie 1 year ago
@Lynllie
Yes, you can. Take two naringenin in the AM and take one Oxymatrine with a meal. You can work up to taking one oxymatrine with a meal 3 x day.

It must be given parenterally to have any effect. It's inactivated in the GI tract.

My observations and numerous studies disagree.

I said partial GI breakdown above. Actually, 85% of orally ingested naringenin is broken down.

Would it be possible to blackout the patients name and post the blood work?
And then perhaps a personal certification as to the results being for the patient who had previously a higher PCR?
This would give you a HUGE advantage on credibility and protect their identity as well. Perhaps ID them by number or 'pen' name.
Thanks for considering a method for the masses to know.
Cheers,

You call it Ner-in-i-gin but spell it differently... Just wondering why
CureHepC 2 years ago
Perhaps my pronunciation is incorrect.
I do hear people in my office say it differently. Never been perfect at diction. I do much better at making a perfect product.
