I often wondered how that amber color was applied... at first I thought it was just the wood (possibly aged). If you do a whole neck, do you tape off the frets or scrape it off after it dries or just leave it? How many total coats? I do like the gloss finish compared to the satin. Thanks in advance for the advice!

Just spray over the frets and polish off later.
Number of coats?
9 maybe 12 at the most
