I was a HM2 who served with the Marine Corps during Desert Storm and Shield 1990-91. We all have to define our own sense of morality in this life and when an administration lacks total morality,as this one sadly does, then it does come down to individual self-identification of individual morality vs group morality. I think the entire war is a nightmare and can only wish for our soldiers to return home yesterday.

We only had to drop those 2 bombs because THEY attacked us and brought us into the war. It is perfectly logical that we can have those bombs and Iran cannot. He was commissioned in June 2003, three months after the war began. He could have backed out of his commission and never taken his oath, but he took his oath. He swore to do his duty, and now he refuses it.
He's been in three years and avoided deployment this long.
This smacks poorly on his character.
