God If i directed this Public Information Film, i would of made it a tad bit gory. You get to watch them burn to cinders! I've got a sick imagination, i admit it
Good ad! It must have had quite an impact on people who weren't expecting the ending. The ones sold in the US weren't too bad until the late '80s, when people started freaking out about EMF. To cancel it out, blanket manufacturers started routing the wires closer together; of course that made them much more likely to arc, and a rash of fires followed. I wouldn't use one even if they were safe; they're too lumpy.
HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!!!!!!!!! god i luv Georges seductive face wen he pulls da electric blanket down from the cupboard!!! XD XD XD XD he looks so pervy man!!!!!!!!! XD XD XD XD
I remember seeing this PIF. BBC1 ran it in early 2003, and at what time? 1.30am, a time when most elderly people had gone to bed. Well done BBC! Mike S.
I wouldn't use a brand new one, let alone an old one. I have a friend whose blanket caught fire in the night when she was seven years old...lucky she woke up.
This scared me when I first watched it!

I don't know what's scarier... the ending or the thought of those battle-axes going at it.

Wow, I get what they were trying to do, but did they have to make the ending so morbid?

MisterTrimble Thanks for uploading this public information film about the dangers of using electric blankets.
I remember this advert very well as I first saw it back in 2002.

Farts are a safer way of warming up the bed. At least, that's what my man tells me.

Nice to see that some modern day PIFs still can carry some "punch", like this one.

Electric blankets should have been banned years ago all they seem to do is kill people!

I didn't even expect that ending! I thought it was just going to be a "keep warm, old people" ad!
