  • The Jay Purdy posters were VERY limited edition. :)

The reporter cut-away shot bobbleheads on the other hand . . .

The Peacock Shoppe concept was an interesting idea, but lasted, iirc only about one year at WJAC.

  • Wonder if NBC's main rivals tried their own hands at novelty shops...

  • I didn't recall the Peacock Shoppe concept. Just NBC stuff or could I have purchaed a Jay Purdy poster there?

  • I've never seen anything like this from a mid-market station before!

I would think this did not last long...

  • I was thinking the same thing too...after doing some searching I found that other NBC Stations set up their own Peacock Shoppes in the 80s as well. WSTM in Syracuse, NY was one of them as well. And yes, I don't think this lasted long either.
