Why were the old cartoons good? People would slave away to draw each frame/most frames (but out of desire to do so, so it wasn't bad, it was just a lot of work)

And they would think up the plot according to the "who dun'it" style.

Therefore original Scooby had:

love from their creators + hard work + keeping to the laws of detective fiction

it all went downhill from What's New Scooby Doo.... (well during what's new, just a few episodes of it were good)

and 1983's The New Scooby and Scrappy-Doo Show are three of the better Scooby shows. The original series and the other Scooby shows are no longer my favs anymore.

I liked Scooby Doo, Where Are You. Scooby Doo on Zombie Island was good too, but then, it seemed like Scooby Doo is the only H-B cartoon (with the possible exception of Tom and Jerry) that seems to go on and on and on with new shows and movies. It gets to the point where if I hear about a new SD movie or cartoon, I almost cringe. It's like they're killing the whole franchise slowly.
