It says a lot for the depth of the Giants recieving corps...He's sitting on the bench 5th or 6th on the depth chart. I believe all the receivers above him on the chart but Hixon(out) have caught touchdown passes. I can't wait to see him play. Go Giants.

I hope he's in when we're in the redzone, the threat of him(size) will be just like he was at Cal Poly, a huge fade route threat. If he makes a name for himself there, no reason why he can't turn into Plax 2.0. So far the only sure thing we have in the passing game is Smith, and he's that slot/3rd down reciever/hands man. Everything else is up for grabs.
I'm not buying into this philosophy that Barden isn't worth talking about just b/c he played against weak opponents. He was unstoppable at Cal Poly so what else more do you want him to do? Colston went 7th round from Hofstra...i think hes done ok :) Fact is Barden has natural talent and if he can apply that to an NFL game he's going to be successful... same way as T. Owens from Chattanooga.. taken in the 3rd round and was scrutinized for not playing against top talent.. hes pretty good too :)

Hard to measure skill when you are playing on Cal-Poly against scrubs miles away from NFL talent. I would love for him to get it done in the big-boy league but I have my doubts. Certainly might take a few seasons. I doubt he gets used much this year.
Well when we get inside the 20 don't be surprised if he is playing cause its not that hard to jump and beat the CB covering you. His athletic ablity to out jump people is all Eli needs. If he has the drive to fight which I saw in the vid then he will come good.
