Dwyrin, download the RHW (Real highway) mod.It is fucking awesome :) (it makes the highways realistic and gives you more options when creating highways)

Also, the bridge will automatically adjust. For instance, if you set it at "X" height, you have to drag it far enough that it can have a ramp at an appropriate gradient. It will compensate on its own.

And if you ever play around with the terraforming tool again, I realized the other day that it keeps the ground relief imprint, even though you changed the elevation (i.e. if you make a mountain flat, from above, it will STILL look like a mountain, until you zoom in and realize it is indeed flat).

So, in short, that tool DOES work. :)
