See this. I saw Gypsy last night, and In The Heights today. The only good thing about Gyspy is Patti, everything else is dull and the story isn't half as well told as it was in the 2003 production with Bernadette Peters. Laura Benanti did not deserve that Tony. Anyway, In The Heights is the best show I have ever seen, and I've seen over 30 shows. I'd say it's better than Spring Awakening, I'm just like completely amazed.

We have been big broadway fans for many years and when we first heard of In The Heights I was a little skeptical about it because we only heard a few lines of the rapping and we're not big rapping fans.We took the chance and went with a friend of ours who is Puerto Rican and I will tell you this is the most incredible show you will see on Broadway for a long time.We laughed, we cried, we were salsaing in our seats.GO SEE THIS SHOW!!!!! IT'S INCREDIBLE!!!!!

As a Latina, it's nice to see my people's stories finally be represented in musical theatre. So many of us worked our asses off to get into this country, but we get no respect b/c everyone thinks we're all aliens. Well, obviously these performers deserve respect, especially Lin! The fact that they touched this subject, used salsa music, and had Spanish felt like I was watching home on-stage. I'm going into theatre but, damn, before I never felt like I BELONGED. Not until now.

I saw this musical last saturday and I definetly recommend it. But I reccomend you buying the soundtrack before you go so you can understand it better. Sometimes it was a bit hard to understand the plot because of the accents. But trust me, it is a wonderful musical...LOVED IT!

I saw in the heights with my classmates from texas during our spring break in March and oh my gee...it was the best thing ever. I was so incredibly happy to see how well they performed at the tony awards and when they won best musical, I broke down in chills! The cast that I had just experienced and shook their hands during the recession, just won a TONY!!! Wow. Truly amazing. Keep up the damn good work and cannot wait to see more Lin!
