  • They say they are going back to the vintage Aerosmith sound. We'll see. I haven't liked a thing they've done in the past 20 or so years. When I was a little kid, I owned 2 albums: Kiss Alive II and this one.

  • Classico!!!

  • THIS IS WHAT ROCK AND ROLL IS ABOUT. GOD BLESS AMERICA. GOD BLESS AEROSMITH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • CLASSIC AEROSMITH THE BEST FOR SURE!!!!!

  • Slash turned down a girl to listen to this album ;]

  • Ich sage dazu nur eines "THE FIGHTER" *o* GEILE STELLE EY ^^

  • If you don't like this album, you don't like Aerosmith

  • Rocks is one of the best albums released in 1976!

  • @lyonslaforet is one of the best albums released in history!

  • @shivainwonderland Yes and it changed the life of Slash of Guns N'Roses.

  • @lyonslaforet same year as judas priest sad wings of destiny great album \../

  • @lyonslaforet Wow, that is a very, very big understatement!

  • Toys in the Attic and Rocks were both great albums... super underrated. I don't really care for where AeroSmith headed after they cleaned up...but their first few albums were awesome.

  • again!!

  • @SunshineSuperman0999 Well YEAH it is......I meant 'but okay' as in 'I understand'. Music-wise, excluding The Beatles, this is pretty much as good as it gets

  • All these years latter and it's still great shit! Young people your parents had good tunes!

  • Man, this should have been the theme song for Bonanza!

  • top 5 rock n roll albums.

  • Not one bad song on this disc. Got it for christmas just there. Gonna remember it for the rest of my life.

  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY, STEVEN TYLER! ROCKIN' SINCE MARCH 26, 1948 to now...MARCH 26, 2011! ROCK ON!

  • The sorta layered track mixing that appealed to the much less battering gange experience of the day. If I recollect correctly, Eddie Kramer was the engineer. Jack Douglas was the producer. I dunno if Steve and Joe had as much to say about the production in the '70s as they did in the '80s and '90s, but I do know that Steve pretty much always wrote the lyrics and drum lines, and Joe pretty much laid down the basic guitar and bass lines. Impressive job here.

  • Im baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack in the saddle again!

  • what an amazing recording!!!

  • Best freakin' album of all time!!

  • Well I'm not really BLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK, but I always thought this song would be good intro to James Brown.

  • I'M BLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!

  • fuckin smith in there prime,in your face, badass,

  • I used to be a big fan Aerosmith as a kid because I was only familiar with their 80's material. Their 70's material kicks some serious ass though. I think even Led Zep would have listened to this song and wondered if they were losing ground. Respect.

  • 1:57 he sounds like a horse :)

  • @TomHamilton24 What are you talking about?

  • @jwittler listen to what tyler sings like at that part

he sounds kind of like a horse whinnying

  • @TomHamilton24 I guess I can kind of hear it.

  • This song just makes me wanna get up and scream x kick ass song x legendary x

  • @dtp056 joe perry once said in a interview that if anyone wanted to know what aerosmith was all about ,then this was (in his opinion) the song that represents what aerosmith is(signature song)....thats how kickass and sick this song actually is

  • wow i used to not like aerosmith because all i heard was walk this way and dude looks like a lady. then i started reading slashes book and he mentioned rocks.... this is sick

  • wow, the first video ive been on that doesn't have any dislikes. must be becus this song is amazing, scratch that, the BAND is amazing.

  • No dislikes! There's hope for music yet.

  • did bruce willis kick that ass or what?

  • @twi1992 yes he did it was almost like jason bourne!!

  • @ Keeperofthename:

yeah you're right, he also says so in his autobiography!

  • As far as just pure chunks of molten rock n roll this may have been their best album...every tune on it is a Jam....

  • @Maxharddrive64 Amen brother.. and if you were anything like me back in the day...you wore out a few 8-track tapes of this.

  • @DallasaDanny Lmao you just lost 80% of the readers on that one. but yes I did!

  • I remember this playing back in 74' makin out with susy the girl next door in the back of my fuckin camaro hell yeah those were better times before we had a nigger for a president.

I wonder what susies doin now? THUMBS UP IF YOU WANT ME TO GET BACK TOGETHER WITH SUSY AFTER ALL THESE YEARS.

  • @Gargantupimp ......I don't think "SUSIE" wants to get back together with you..I think she probably voted for OBAMA!..........LMFAO!

  • @Gargantupimp Just keep the memory the way it is... most people are NOTHING like what they used to be.

  • @Gargantupimp Lol...this came out in '76, but okay......

  • This album is fucking amazing!

  • @Jamesrock you fool.

  • @Jamesrock Walk this Way is one of the iconic songs of the 1970's, you need to amend it to 3 at least.

  • @ztrimm1 Oh no! I get headaches from that song.

  • BACK IN THE SADDLE AGAIN

  • Now this is some serious fucking music. I do meaning fucking as in getting some ass!

  • @MikeLamb24

Grow a dick and go fuck yourself.

  • @MikeLamb24 get youre ears checked dude this is ear candy, and dont ever dimiss zeppelin as "old people shit" zeppelin aerosmith stones etc are timeless you ignorant fuck

  • @MikeLamb24 loo zer. young 'un.

  • @MikeLamb24 yea gee nothing is as good as your Jonas brothers

  • cool. 1976

  • best song on the album!!

  • Went back to school today so I had to scream IM BACK IN THE SADDLE. lol

  • Hell Yeah...

  • Brett Favre is BACK baby!!

  • Hamilton's playing if you can isolate in your head is his usual; solid, aggressive and heavy. Both he and John Paul Jones had that solidness about their playing. But the song is so effortlessly cock strong and confident. The anticipation at the time to see them perform this must have been intense. Looking at the live videos from this era I'm blown away by how fucking good Steven's voice holds up. But THIS is Aerosmith. And yeah, this is the kind of music that inspires people to

  • The drumming and percussions are seamlessly interwoven. Seamlessly. The tambourine inconspicuously coming in at :55 just for a few bars before the open hi-hat part is tasteful and understated. The woodblock and gallop feel of the thing would be cliche on any other western themed song but isn't here for some reason. The descending guitar lines; the whammy and 6 string bass line winding down at 3:30 is cool as Hell with Steven's high pitch mule skinner howling is inspired.

  • Holy Mother of God! A Masterpiece. Xlnt songwriting. Brilliant performances. Audacious vocals. "I'm baaaack!" What the fuck? Theres no other way to say it. This song is ridiculously cock strong. The guitar parts do that rare thing of being as expressive and waywardly as the vocals. The whammy track, the volume pot swells, the 6 string, the rhythm/lead track proper ..... masterful. The chord change at 1:45 brings an almost violent tension. Steven's vocals are animalistic here.

  • good song bye a great band .steven tyler rocks and his dauther liv is beatiful.

  • this song is just AMAZING ! but i have no idea how he doesnt lose his voice ! but if he can sing if i ever go to his concerts i want this song defently first !

  • 34 years later and Steven still can sing those high notes live w/o problem

  • I was 13 when this album was released. I am from Boston and watched the rise and fall of Aerosmith with pride and then great sadness. Sure, they came back, but the music was never the same. Too commercial.

  • the best song of all fucking time

  • this fucking rocks!!!!

  • George Lynch, Warren DeMartini, Slash, etc... Will ALL say this band was their favorite of all time, and I agree and so it's is mine... These grooves can't be reproduced, with the feeling they put into it, by ANY band of this era... You just can't tune down and produce this kind of funky shit... This album reminds me of when a guitar player was somebody...

  • I Wanna Meet Sukie Jones

  • what a kick ass cd

  • slash's favourite album

  • Best song of the 70s......Yes, better than Stairway to Heaven. Yes I said it!

  • and you said chicken wasnt real -.-

  • This song is like an ass-kickin!

  • @stimpp Absolutely! This is my favorite album by Aerosmith of all time.... I can remember opening it on Xmas morning in 1976. Best present I EVER got!!!!!

  • Yes they pretty much laid down the blueprint for GNR, which is why it annoys me when people rank GNR higher. GNR were a great band, but they were followers, Aerosmith were leaders. Aerosmith showed innovation and influence, GNR didn't.

  • My favorite Aerosmith song!

    \8-D

  • Falto q toqen sta cancion en Lima

  • U HAD TO BE THERE!!!!

  • This was their best album by far and one of the greatest rock albums ever. Every song is a true classic.

  • in fact this was one of the songs by aerosmith which inspire slash (Guns n roses) to his music

  • @Keeperofthename I literally found that out last night, just started reading his book! :)

  • @Keeperofthename yeah i read that in his book

  • @Keeperofthename Yeah lol i looked this up today cuz im rreading his book 2

  • @Keeperofthename unfortunately......jokes. I will admit it though, I am not the biggest fan, I have nothing wrong him, he plays some great rock and roll and contributes to the ever writing story that is Rock and Roll, which is a never ending story.

But I have bigger influences than Slash, again not because I think he is shit, just have preferences like you do, hence the reason you like good old Slash.

  • BEST AEROSMITH ALBUM EVER MADE.....fuck ,give em back the drugs....

  • This song kicks Ass!!!!!!!!

  • amazing song

  • @ thenintendogamer. tmi means "Too Much Information".

  • tmi man

  • LMFAO, I know. I should be ashamed. lol

  • @thenintendogamer "Too Much Infomation"

  • @phrydoom

Class, some people have it, some don't.

  • @phrydoom phrydom when i fuck ur wife doggy style i think of this song

  • @sixxsells LOL

  • LMFAO, oh so it was YOU! LOL

  • @phrydoom ya you fuck that fat cunt!

  • Tonight I realize (I know....I'm a bit slow)that these guys were the progenitors of Guns n Roses.

  • yeah! slash started to play the guitar because he listened to rocks he said he finally felt he has something to live.

  • i think the prime songs he was affected by was this and "nobody's fault" and of course the rest too when he listend in 1980 :3

  • u should read slash's autobiography, he says how much aerosmith influenced him.

  • @marvy1118 It's better to realize it too late than never!

  • @marvy1118

what the hell does "progenitors" mean in terms of definition?

its not urban dictionary so it must be a word used during dinosaur times.

  • @marvy1118

These guys were the progenitors of many.

  • Comment removed

  • @marvy1118 Yes Aersosmith was Americ'a response to the Rolling Stones lol
