  • Balance point is the key.

  • for those that dont believe a 5th gear wheelie is possible BELIEVE IT. slight modifications and simply PURE SKILL will always be impresive!!!!

  • @MrCgarbett Yah, man. My stepfather (and me) was fearless on bikes and used to do 5th gear wheelies for a few hundred feet at a time going insanely fast on both a 1984 KX250 and then later in life on a 1997 CR500 (scary f'ing bike) on mountain logging roads with cliffs and rivers surrounding, before retiring after a few deadly crashes. The true motocross riders were from the 80's.

  • Back in the day I had the first one in Little Rock. I could easily do stand-up 5th gear wheelies. (It was the lack of weight, not the abundance of power!) One warning, though: The oil pickup for the top end is in the FRONT of the crankcase. Guess where the engine oil goes when you wheelie...

  • I am one of the biggest funlovers of XL SL XR, my dream bikes since child.

  • Yeah man I pretty much have to ride mine till it's compleatly unridable. I will miss it.

  • I had one of those and theres no way you did a wheelie in 5th gear unless you started in 2nd and rode it thru to 5th. I rode mine untill the piston melted down to nothing and it wouldn't start anymore. Dang I miss it.

  • ah yea that was 5th bud... i would bring it up in third gear and go from there to 5th... beieleive me it was not an easy task...i have another video that i will post from a first person point of view going down the same road. although it had aftermarket fenders i think you can figure out the resemblance in both videos and verify its integrity.

  • I beleive you. You can't really tell what gear you're in from the video cause all you can hear is your buddy's bike. I didn't know you could pull it up in 3rd. Must have more power than mine did. Paulc43 is right, don't ever sell that.

  • @rebelrider77....Hey, stranger things have been done.

  • thats definettly not a sl125 1972 trust me I own one!

  • dont ever sell that or you will be a loser and people will run around calling you sticky barry bongwater.

  • my first bike was one of those coulnt wheelie like that tho

  • Nice one! thats a really nice bike too, I want one...

  • nice
