I used to dislike Ashanti A LOT but I'd give anything to hear a song like this now. She's a great songwriter and her vocals have improved tremendously, she deserves to be on top again!

Her and Ashanti had their own styles back in 2004 and every female pop-r&b artist didn't look so alike. The great ones now Chrisette M, Jill Scott, Fantasia, J-Hud, Jazmine S and Melanie F hardly get any radio play even though they have their sucess too.

ashanti can only be ashanti...she has very little range and this song would have been awesome if given to a performer with a stronger voice. That being said, credit where it is due- this is one of her better live sets.
How much more strength do you want from her. Did you hear that note at 2:32? That's power if I ever heard it. The music industry needs more levels to it than one. Everybody wants every female artist to be Beyoncé or Mariah and it's great that we have the beig belty divas but can't we also have the sweet sultry singers and the pop princesses. It's not all about getting up there and being able to scream high and do more runs than everybody else.

I say it's interesting because (AND THIS IS JUST AN OBSERVATION) you felt the need to validate Ashanti being good by trashing Beyonce. And I've noticed a lot of people use Beyonce to gauge another artists talent or credibility...which is really a compliment to Beyonce because she is being made the standard. ashanti can only be ashanti...she has very little range and this song would have been awesome if given to a performer with a stronger voice. That being said, credit where it is due- this is one of her better live sets.

How much more strength do you want from her. Did you hear that note at 2:32? That's power if I ever heard it. The music industry needs more levels to it than one. Everybody wants every female artist to be Beyoncé or Mariah and it's great that we have the beig belty divas but can't we also have the sweet sultry singers and the pop princesses. It's not all about getting up there and being able to scream high and do more runs than everybody else.
