Bob Licks at singing this,.I Dont Remember seeing Sherlock Hemlock Holding the Old Sing as well as rooseavelt Franklin at the End of the Show,.Maria Looks An Awful Like Condoleezza towards the End,..I was allways Fascinated with the Doors Above Big Birds Pad in the early days!,...
@moviedeeva I've always admired the original muppets & cast of Sesame street from when i was little,It seemed they always had messy hair, especially Bert...I always Loved Harvey Kneeslapper/The wild looking purple feller w/googly eyes& blue sweater. He always made the short round blue Guy very Agry when he Stuck a Number or Alphabet on His Forhead!! & made that sound~boing~!!!.Great stuff.
Great video! I'm surprised Sesame Street has changed so much! Happy 39th Birthday to Sesame Street and (R.I.P. Jim Henson) to your mom, MarshalGrover! :D
I bet they made HUNDREDS of stills with a Sesame Street character at the end of the show (the first 13 seasons) either holding a "Sesame Street" sign, or a "Children's Television Workshop" sign. I'd give anything to see them all.
Happy birthday to Sesame Street! My all time favorite television show when I was growing up. I still relive all the cool moments from Sesame Street from the you tube postings. Happy 39th birthday to Sesame Street!
Happy B-Day to Sesame Street, and tell your mom, Me, Colby AND Dumb Dog say Happy Birthday as well. Just think, Next year Sesame Street will be the Big 4-0. For some reason, that even makes ME feel old, and I'm pretty young,
39 years. And all things considered, it's still a great show. It truly is an accomplishment to go that far, get that much done, and still be a gold standard in educational television/
ever since I was little I've loved this show

Richard Hunt is wearing a shirt design similar to Ernie. Surely that is not a coincidence?

I miss Jim Hensen. Does anyone remember the episode when Mr. Hooper died? I do. We learned about death on Sesame st. that day. I think I was 7.
