Kit Kat is one of the most popular candies in Japan. Kitu Katu means "Good Luck" so they ran with that apparently. They have like over 50 different flavors including "Mango Pudding" and "Lemon Vinegar".

Kit-Kats are actually really huge in japan,I've read somewhere that they currently have over 80 flavors of kit-kats like soybean, grilled corn, lemon vinegar, Earl Grey tea, Camembert cheese, baked potato, cola and lemon squash, cucumber, rose.
