I find it weird that they put a city as the backround of the main menu that doesn't exist. In my 4 years of playing the game, I have never come across this city or the Song Monument at the main menu. I used to think it was Yongbyon, but Yongbyon only has 1 big building, and this place has 2 big buildings. Has anyone else come across it?

According to a German PC gaming website there are rumors that EALA is going to still do a Mercenaries 3 game using the Forstbite 2.0 engine (Battlefield 3 engine).
I know this is just a rumor but if it is true I am really happy.

Mercenaries 2 was terrible, the original was so much better, balancing faction relations was much more of a tactical decision, darker atmosphere, it was so revolutionary for its generation. It sucks it freezes every-time i play it on 360. maybe mercs 3 will bring it back to its roots.

They just need to release a special edition of this game with co-operative game play added in and some more vehicles and weapons and sell it at a cheap price like $19.99. That would help make up for the disappointment of Mercenaries 2.
Kinda scary how the game is all about the world vs North Korea, considering the current situation. Let's just hope it doesn't come to this. But this game is fucking awesome, nonetheless.

By the looks of it, I assume they're showing footage from the Xbox version? I have the PS2 version, and the framerate barely skims the line as acceptable. i fink there is a shotgun error on the game when you fire it there is no sound effect coming from it. i expect a blast noise from it but nothin. is it just mi game or is it a glitch in every game. Reply when ever possible

By the looks of it, I assume they're showing footage from the Xbox version? I have the PS2 version, and the framerate barely skims the line as acceptable. I'm just wondering if anybody else has a choppy framerate with the PS2 version or some official proof that the PS2 version has worse framerate than the Xbox version.

i fink there is a shotgun error on the game when you fire it there is no sound effect coming from it. i expect a blast noise from it but nothin. is it just mi game or is it a glitch in every game. Reply when ever possible

Holy shit, same for me. I got the game brand new near the time it came out in 2005. I was wondering why the shotgun wouldn't make any noise. I was awfully disappointed since shotguns are awesome.
