@frank4080 Hey bro! I'm an Evans endorser, in this video it's G2 clear tops with G1 clear bottoms on the toms, EMAD kick batter with an EQ3 reso, snare is a G1 coated with a Hazy 300 snare side. :)
If you are studying the drums, you should be able to play double strokes at faster tempos in a much more OPEN fashion that what is shown here. This guy plays grooves pretty well, and seems to have decent chops, but I don't quite get the limp wristed approach to doubles. To me this is unacceptable.
@SwiftMediaSolutions That's cool man! My wrist really isn't part of the equation in my doubles. It's all fingers. I see what you're talking about though, looks like my wrist was just getting my hands into a lower position. I may have had my snare a little too low.
hi aaron,i like it when you play bit spontanious things ,...please think about making a jam session with a cool baseplayer or wild guitarist,it would be the hammer
Thanks dudes! And I know I screwed up on the voice this time, I tried recording a little differently and it didn't work out so well haha. I'll do my best to fix it for next time :D
Hey Aaron, I posted that video response with the paradiddlediddle tacked on the end! Its pretty sloppy, seeing as I haven't been able to practice it much yet, haha.
@allmetaliswelcome hahaha I was just buggin' ya. That's awesome!! You should post a video response of you doing some of it! Put i around the kit some way that's cool! :D
I apologize for the voice being a little quiet in this video, I was recording differently and that part didn't work out as well as I had expected. I could have boosted it but it would have ended up hissy and gross. I'll fix it in the next batch of videos in this section of the studio.
What kind of heads do you use? Tx
