"There arrived in this land a man whom they called Quetzacoatl... His countenance was white and he wore a beard. His manner of dress consisted of a long white robe... He was considered just, saintly, and good, teaching them by deeds and words the road to virtue... He gave them laws and sane doctrine... He said that in the year that would be called Ce Acatl, He would return and then His doctrine would be accepted, and his children Lords and heirs of the earth."
No narrow strip of mountain wilderness extending across the Land Southward.
It has neither East nor West Sea. no major river (Sidon) which runs continuously north. no well-populated centers (capitals parts of land) near the mouth of the proposed Sidon
It is a volume of scripture relating God's dealings with ancient people in the Americas, in much the same way that the Bible is a record of God's dealing with people in one region of the Old World. With the Bible, the Book of Mormon is a second witness, confirming the validity of Biblical doctrine and verifying the divinity of Jesus Christ through the inspired words of other sheep in Christ's fold (see John 10:16).
The bible and the Book of Mormon are One, just like the Father and the Son are One, just like all the angels in heaven are ONE with God, and just as we ought to be ONE with God on earth. They are His WORDS.
This could certainly be that passage through the narrow neck of land mentioned often in the Book of Mormon; Alma 63: 5
The Book of Mormon is written by one of the lost tribes of Israel, namely the descendants of Joseph, whom we know throughout the Bible would be separated from their bretheren and be among those who should occupy the Isles of the Sea. The problem with most arguments against the Book of Mormon is that most folks discount the tribe of Joseph and Ephraim, son of the Birthright.
@ToThisEndWasIMormon ..So the Birthright chosen Hebrew were directed to America in a boat with a device "Liahona" compass that came from heaven to a promised land prepared for them Only to find The Mayan building pyramids that they had to share. No birthright hebrew solomon temples built they used the Mayans out of respect for their culture. Sounds like most folks are not prone to ridiculous fiction of the book of mormon. Where is Zarahemla ? There is no mention of Mayan temples in the B of M .
Come on guys lets face facts you can come up with what ever you want but we know that DNA evidence has proven your claims to be false. I suggest you stick to reading the Holy Bible and throw out that false prophets book of morman. As a Christian I take most things on faith but the book of morman is too far fetched

The Mayans were the only Indians to develop a written language and it has no resemblance to Smith's supposed Book of Mormon reformed egyptian

Isn't it odd how the 'narrow neck of land' was originally in New England and then all of sudden, it was magically relocated to Meso-America?
And isn't is also odd that there's not one single mention of the BOM events being in that region until after 1842?
