An RB30E with an RB26 head wouldn't have been too hard to source and it probably would have cost just as much as a 2JZ... I don't know why people use engines from different manufacturers on their cars. If it were a Judd V8, I'd understand... But a 2JZGTE on a Nissan?

Basically the same engine, but Nissan.

The 2JZ is a much stronger engine in our experience. Plus it has the extra capacity that people spend thousands to gain on RB26's with the OS Giken 3.0 kit, which is based on the 2JZ design anyway.

i love that engine by design, its different to what everyone else is doing and totally original. every time i look at it i cant believe how far back the engine is mounted, looks like a 4 cyl. are you planning to take the engine out and fit uprated internals and get more power any time soon or are you just going to wait till it blows up and then do it?

i know its a 6 cly, but its mounted that far back it looks like 4 4cyl as the end 2 are pushed through the bulkhead, i would fit uprated internals if i had the money, safer for a power increase and can rev higher with lighter internals and balance3d crankshaft
