Because channel 4 was so far behind in the ratings they sent chopper 4 up at night to chase a tornado and almost lost thier insurance over this wreckless act.Anything for ratings i guess ! Didnt work anyway....Channel 9 still won the ratings that night by far.

I think all the channels had great coverage that night. I didn't know channel 3 almost lost their insurnace over that, never heard that and I know a lot of staff there. Hmmm that is odd. What was reckless to me was the choice for channel 9 to fly when that pig farm got hit this spring. Notice how Jim Gardner chose to do a lot of footage that day from the ground, too much windshear. Mason Dunn channel 9 said many times that day they had shear and were being sucked in

Well, If you know alot of staff there you would have known that Jim Gardner was not flying that day because the camera was off the helicopter! I did see Jim Gardner flying next to a MILE wide tornado just 2 days prior near Hammond OK..That turned out to be smoke rising in the sky from a FIRE!! OPPS!!!...At least NEWS 9 shows REAL tornados for the world to see! To much windshear.?. Dont think so.

Oh my mistake I guess when I spoke with Jim personally about that day he lied to me. And anyone that watched that day of the Hammond storm knew yes he did see a fire yes he tought the smoke was a tornado but the mile wide one he flew next to was a bit later that day, well after 9 went to reg programming and 5 could not see it. Finally all 3 channels carried it again

Jim told you he wasnt flying because of windshear? If he told you that then he lied right to your face. I know he was flying later that day with a hand held camera in the back seat. The Hammond storm was a joke,

9 was in regular programming and 5 couldnt see anything BECAUSE THERE WASNT ANYTHING!!! If you go back and look at the storm reports from May 22,08 there were NO, NADA, ZERO tornados reported in oklahoma.
