Man as far as I ever went with beanie babies was to try and collect all the cats from the mid to late 90's. And then basically some of the reptiles and stuff like alligators, komodo dragons, and actual dragons. I have sold a bunch or gave them away but I still have at least 80.
well i was a kid when i was collection these but i no the feeling you buy one and then a day after you want a new one and there sooo expence i remember like buying one for £25 and i had about 100 and now there just chucked in my loft :P
They cannot be serious...... they.. cannot.. be serious. Please tell me that this is a joke..... someone please tell me their kidding..... this is just depressing if it isn't. Well seeing that it's in the comedy category, makes me feel a little better (either that or it's just so idiotic that it's funny).
I spent my money on Beanie Babies just to collect them, though I did end up selling a few that I actually did make a profit on. The ones I still have though I'll definitely pass down to my family in the future.
OMG. I wasn't his COLLECTION! I collected Beanie Babies for the fun of it. I intend to keep all mine and pass them down the generations as a family kids toy. My kids will play with them, their kids will play with them, et cetera.
Well done. Maybe your dad shouldn't have spent all the family's money on toy stuffed animals... but he seems like a nice guy. It'll always be entertaining to talk about growing up with a dad who has a beanie problem.
That was a good documentary or mock-umentary! The editing was superb and the contrast in styles between the charaters as they each spoke about the same things was refreshing. The candor of the people concerning the subject was enlightening in that they weren't talking to the "camera" but rather it was about the relationship between interviewer and subject. This video demonstrates the interview as a magnification of that relationship. Bravo!
I can completely emphasize ! I started collecting the bears in the late 90's. Still have them all too. I cringe to think of the money spent, but thats the only thing I regret. The 'thrill of the hunt' , beanie fairs at weekends, cataloguing, finding rarities at good prices ( it did happen sometimes), it was all obsessing - but it was fantastic fun too, and I wouldn't have missed it for the world.
That's a good documentary. I'll buy one! Lol!

Something so touching about Dr. Rick Webber being such a sweet dad. Very nice job on the film. Best of luck to the whole family.
