  • GShea I got this whole feud at home on DVD if I say were I got it some error thng pops up. Its great quality and has the whole feud from start to finish.

  • In refrence to The Bill and Buddy Show look it up its hilarious. Just shows how these guys put thier heart and soul into it evry time the cameras rolled.

  • This angle led to about 4 or 5 other angles all intertwind into this one angle. Buddy Landell and Dutch Mantell get involved they beat up Jeff and Jerry Jarrett and of course Ole bag o bones Eddie Marlin as Dundee calls him. Dundee evn slaps Lance once. That leads to the infamous Bill and Buddy Show great times to b a fan. WWE has trouble runnin 1 angle at a time let alone 4 or 5. Take note WWE this is how its done.

  • was "dundy" on drugs at this time, heard he was on drugs at some point which cost him friends/partners and matches and was later admitted to rehab, he looks/sounds like he's on something

  • Couldn't say it better, that was an angle. Something most companys today know nothing about, Lawler and Dundee had a reason to get in the ring against each other. Memphis had the best angles in those days, now two guys get into a match or a last man standing or cage for absolutely no reason, no storyline, no angle, throw in some highspots and fans go crazy. Thanks for showing some of the new school fans what wrestling is all about.

  • good match

  • This was wrestling. Ah the memories

  • When Bill Dundee came to Georgia Championship Wrestling for a short run in the early 80s, Gordon Solie hyped Dundee prior to his arrival with a promo video of Dundee that was edited to "Dirty White Boy" by Foreigner. Despite its campy elements, it was one of the greatest wrestling promos I've ever seen. Might anyone have it to post here?

  • I've met dundee a few times at indy shows around my area. Really cool guy i just wish the guys working today had half the charisma as these old school workers.

  • @hollywoodtetsu I heard Dundee made most of his money owning strip clubs around the Memphis area

  • @lambert581 if he does then that makes me like him more

  • now thats a wrestling amgle! they couldn't do that if they tried! the guys dont have the character

  • @nwauwf Where do you think sorry ass Vince McMahon got his ideas from. Before 1985, the WWF was BORING. After 1985, it was still boring because everything they did was already done here in Memphis.

  • @arkansoul i agree and never came close to how good memphis did it

  • great match

  • You little stinking, rotten low-life shrimp!

    Classic!

  • @zennethx dundee and lawler really didn't get along backstage.

  • Memphis wrestling was the best there ever was wwe is just dog poop

  • the good ole days lol !!!!!

  • I grew up in Kennett, Mo watching this period. Finest wrestling show ever! Lance Russel signed my shirt when I was a kid. I was too shy to look at him. I called him Lance Wrastling! lol Lawler was my childhood hero. Thanks for posting this stuff!

  • My favorite line: "I KNOW HE'S SERIOUS...LIKE A HEART ATTACK MAN..." Lance Russell, the most underrated announcer in history

  • @JepMasta AMEN.

  • @JepMasta i second that, Jim Ross is good at what he does though the annoying thing is he over uses his phrases, Lance just goes with the flow,

  • It was angles like this that made Memphis rasslin' so great! Its a shame that there will probably be nothing like this on tv ever again.

  • OMG! this was awesome! :D

  • i loved watching the fans the girl about to cry when lawler was in the parking lot and the 1 guy dancing when dunndee signed the contracy LMAO classic stuff

  • These were the days when you could'nt miss an episode of Memphis Championship wresting. The sh!t hit the fan every saturday morning. This feud resulted in Lawler losing a loser leave town match to Dundee

  • i think at this point there were too many faces Lawler,Dundee, The Fabs. they needed a good hot heel and besides Lawler there was no better or hotter heel than Dundee so thats how this all took place. If im not mistaken this is when Lawler went on vacation thus the loser leaves town match. He talks about this whole angle in his book. this was his idea because he wanted to lose so he could take his new wife to Hawii on vacation. Man did it ever work.

  • Was there a reason this angle happened so quick?

Like perhaps someone else got injured or cancelled some dates so they needed to turn Dundee heel to give Lawler a hot feud?

I mean, saying uncomfortable comments, upsetting the Fabulous One's, hitting Lawler, goading him into title v hair, having the match and cheating to win, gloating about it, refusing him a rematch, having Lawler threaten to smash his car and thus signing anyway, in one episode?

That's four weeks material right there!

  • But man it all worked, that's one helluva 90 mins lol

  • What about the rest of the story?

  • now I want to see Rick Rude beat up Lawler's Licoln Continental

  • Lance Russell was the best ever!!!!

  • Makes sense. If the Southern championship was the lock to face the world champ..why would Dundee face Lawler before that match?

  • Banana Nose..LOL

  • Good story line.

  • I love the crowd in the carpark.

  • Note to WWE/TNA

Stop giving us midgets and wedding angles and give us stuff like this

    Thank you.

  • Ahhhhhh.... Memphis wrestling on Saturday mornings... Childhood memories...

  • Memory lane.....

  • Word! My sentiments exactly!

  • Thats the way to work an angle

  • Dundee is funny as balls.

  • More great memories. Like it was yesterday. Flair ended up wrestling Koko Ware. Dundee made those saturday wrestling shows. Pure gold.

  • I remember that match. dusty was in Koko's corner. he nearly beat Flair too.

  • is there a part 5

  • CLASSIC!!

  • All of you "new" fans that think guys like John Cena, Rey Mysterio, and Randy Orton are so "cool". Well let me tell you, THIS is how you do it!! This is not sports entertainment. This is pro wrestling at its best. Its hard to believe though that the goof that does commentary with Jim Ross and the bad ass thats on this video is the same person.

  • Preachin to the choir, brother.

  • You keep them coming, and i'll keep watchin'. Thx.

  • Darn straight! Rasslin' was life and good back then. This crap they have now is sickening.

  • Fantastic.

Great angle, great announcers and great heat.

    Can't ask for more, thanks.

  • Of course it is but nobody forces us to watch the pathetic dross of today, so much good wrestling from years gone by to still enjoy , fuck the WWE and TNA

  • AMEN!!!!

  • @ddrock23 Tell it!

  • @ddrock23 i grew up with wwf but since i've found this i'm hooked, just wish i was from that area in those times, i absolutely love it.

in those days they hated each other which made ti easier to fight (i'm guessing), wwe seem to do each other favors and still get a paycheck at the end. love it

  • Dundee and Lawler may be the best two combined workers of all times (either as opponents or tag team). The kid screaming at Lawler in the parking lot not to hit the car is classic. Most works really were believable back then.

  • Great stuff here. Dundee reminds me a lot of Fit Finlay (though I know one is irish and the other is scottish)

  • @striderbri1 Dundee is from Australia

  • @sammys70 He is like Bon Scott and the Young Brothers of AC/DC , born in Scotland but raised in Australia.

  • @striderbri1 I know you made this comment two years ago, but Fit Finlay and Superstar Bill Dundee should never be mentioned in the same paragraph. Dundee drew great heat as a face or heel, and Finlay's basically a good sparring partner. No disrespect, but Dundee was the MAN in the hottest regoin in wrestling history. You can't mention the King in Memphis without mentioning his arch-nemesis. That 'little sawed-off runt' put butts in seats.

  • Thanks for this
