Well to say the truth .. this is not a mecha anime ... It s a excellent anime with sci fi genre ... but it s not focus on sci fi or mecha but on the characters ... and I can say that Faina is my favorite yandere of all times ...

my own opinion is sure, it has a weak storyline, but it's not a waste of time if you take the time to understand the story better. infinite ryvius is not meant to be so much of a mecha anime, but more sci-fi btw.

Apparently there's a companion manga to the original series- it's from one of the other character's perspective and has some things not shown in the show. I don't know what Renewal does to this, though.

Well considering it was made in japan, I'd assume this is the original. The singer, Mika Arisaka is Japanese-American, and bilingual. I actually like this version better, the vocals are better, in my opinion.

It actually has much different lyrics than the english version. I would translate if Uoutube gave you enough space in these posts.

I remember these lyrics, they are the same. It just sounds like the music volume is turned down a little bit to make the vocals sound more loud and clear. Just a few minor differences but the same song.

This is the opening done for the Ryvius Renewal set from 2006 (director went back and redid what he wasn't satisifed with)--this new version is called "dis- 2006." Hope that helped. =)
