This is a great track! It reminds me of a cross between Van Halen's Ice Cream Man, Eric Clapton's Motherless Child, Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band's Aberdene, and Z Z Top's La Grange.
He put a giant, inflatable microphone between his legs and sprayed women in the audience with it during the 1990s. He rubbed a microphone pole against his ass on stage. He showed us that flag twirling is epic during the 1984 tour. His face one time got in a fight with a mirror ball and won. He got kicked out Van Halen, but came back again when Van Halen realized they weren't the same with any other leading man. David Lee Roth is the most interesting man in the world. Stay frosty, my friends. ^_^
@BobbyBigTruck85 Well, thank you. Although I have to admit I was mostly doing it for the thumbs up, so I was kind of being a thumbs up whore, but I'm glad you thought it was clever. ^_^
Has it grown on ya yet? Ill will buy the album you should be proud of this band, I'm a Brit and I don't see them ever touring over here ever, I would love to see them over in your fantastic country! So please support them they are the last band too get the best ever ( Bonham ) Drum sound, the last band from the era of ( Clapton, Led Zeppelin, Hendrix,) please look after them, Diamond Dave is the best frontman PERIOD! Edaward Van Halen innovator, inventor, creator, since Les Paul!
@mikeybbdrummin, good thought dude! I heard some of their latest release n really liked it. Carlos Cavazo is a great fit for them (just as Vivian Campbell was for Def Lep)! I tell ya, if you listen to Carlos' work on "Mama we're all Crazy Now", "Slick Black Cadillac", etc..., the guy could build a great solo! So put him in w/ Warren, n you've got a slammin' duo!
dude this sucks so nad.....sucks THAT THIS SONG IS SO FUCKIN BADASS YET YOU GET MUSICIAN BLUE BLOWS LOL you cut it off to quick :'( i love this so far wowwww ntw the idiot disrespecting paup gilbert mr.big and racer x and his solo stuff is amazing gilberts a god so just stfu
Well that was a tease.....that's a classic Alex/Eddie kicking rhythm right there! Need more rock and roll these days to drown out some of the over-focus on hip hop...one can hope.
If VH comes back big I expect a complete resurgence of 80's, decent 80's bands like Ratt, Dokken... they could come back big I think, then musicians would take the forefront of the stage once again. The best 80's bands, rock bands anyway had decent singers, and awesome guitarists the wrote great hooks, unlike wankers like Paul Gilbert and the rest that are all technique and no good music.
@AetroyayorteA .............Ratt had a cd out last year and one due out this summer.............Whitesnake has done two in the last 4 years.....Europe and Winger.....I like John Norum and Reb Beach (who is in Whitesnake)....also ad a few cd's........................DLR, has solo stuff not released yet. 8^(
@mikeybbdrummin yeah I had seen something here on youtube regarding Ratt, with Carlos Cavazo? as rhythm guitarist? might check it out since I always like Warren's guitar work.
@AetroyayorteA ........The last cd........1 year or so ago is called Infestation.......Just like this cd is back to VH we know and love......Ratt's cd is the same.......pretty good stuff!
@mikeybbdrummin Ratt's newest album was actually pretty good. I checked their album out from the library one time to listen to in my truck. I'm not a big Ratt fan, but I was surprised by how good they still are.
@mikeybbdrummin That's a great idea. ^_^ Ratt was considered a smaller rival to Van Halen back in the day. Why the hell do they have Kool and the Gang performing instead? Kool and the Gang have nothing to do with classic hard rock music. They should definitely have a second tier glam metal group like Ratt, Whitesnake, Quiet Riot, LA Guns or Autograph be the opening group instead, a good group that belongs to the same era and genre of music as Van Halen but isn't good enough to over shadow them.
@19torento ........yes, Ratt is not competition.....great and though for that era......lets see, bands that arent competition?!?!?!..................Chickenfoot!!!!! hahahahahaha......Or the Wabaritas.....you saw how good they did on their own...........they can use VH like Sammy did ot stay relavent!
@mikeybbdrummin Chickenfoot would be a great opening group. They're not nearly as influential as Van Halen, but they're my second favorite group because Michael Anthony and Sammy Hagar are in it. It would be awesome to see both groups at the same concert. ^_^ Only a couple of my ideas would actually work. Quiet Riot and Autograph have disbanded, but Ratt could play the music from their new album. LA Guns has split into two rivaling groups, and i don't know what the status is for Whitesnake.
@19torento Whitsnake is too big...Coverdale would never take a back seat..........they have had 2 cd's in the last 4 years....Reb Beach from Winger is one of the guitarists.............Ratt, yea....C.F.would never happen...................ammy has ut his foot in his mouth way toooo many times!
@mikeybbdrummin Whitesnake might be big, but I still think Van Halen is bigger. However, that might have changed in more recent times, since nothing significant has come from Van Halen in almost 20 years. I heard about that incident recently when Sammy Hagar accused Van Halen of having all old, unrecorded songs on their new album in an effort to discredit them. Most of the time i like Sammy Hagar, but what he said wasn't right and will probably cause a bigger riff between him and Van Halen.
@19torento .......I dont think Whitesnake is bigger the VH but I dont think Coverdale take second chair to anybody!..........I think the new CD is gonna kick ass!!!
@mikeybbdrummin I was just thinking it would be interesting to have Quiet Riot or Autograph be the opening act for Van Halen, because Quiet Riot were Van Halen's biggest rivals when Van Halen was first starting out, but Quiet Riot didn't do nearly as well in the long run. Autograph was the group that opened up for Van Halen during their 1984 tour, Van Halen's last tour with David Lee Roth before they split up, so that would be highly ironic. Too bad neither of those two groups is around anymore.
You might recall Hicks in "Aliens" telling Hudson and Vasquez "Stay frosty. We can't afford to let one of those bastards in here". Basically meaning stay sharp, be cool, keep it together.
@kaboompoop Holy shit. I can't believe there's somebody else that thought of the same thing when they saw that the song title was Stay Frosty. As soon as I saw the song title I thought of Aliens 2, and then I knew this album was going to be even better than I originally hoped. Hicks, Hudson and Vasquez... Three of the biggest bad asses in a 1980s movie. Damn, the 1980s were great. ^_^ I wish I had been a teenager during that decade, and I wish this song were a little more hard rock.
Here's a drink to christian values, and its compulsory. Stay Frosty, that's what the preacher man said Stay Frosty. His words still rocking in my head.
You can't control your future, you can't control your friends, in a world without end. Stay Frosty. Stay Frosty now.
And I traveled to the south and a Rabbi appeared to me. The voice hit me with the sands of time and made me see.
Same as Kahbollah Dave. For you it's free. God guides us on our journey. But be careful with those feet.
@NathanRyanAllen It means if you have a friend who is nefarious. (Possibly drug and alcohol use, Eddie). You cannot control the friends in a world without end. Stay unemotional, clear headed focused. God guides us, but be careful with your feet. Stay Unemotional, clear headed focused on the path. Don't want to forget your coat is a Davism. A Dave backstory. The Buddhist is saying, sometimes we have to do menial work. Unemotional clear headed, waiting tables, janitor, digging ditches.
Stay Frosty in a world without end. Stay Frosty like that ancient mortal said.
Don't want to forget your coat, Don't show them where it's hid and that's just what I did. Stay Frosty!
I took it to the east and I struggled to stay afloat. A solitary Buddhist monk, he threw me a bone, he poked me in the eye and said don't make me say this twice. You want to be a monk? You got to cook a lot of rice in this world without end. Stay Frosty.
If you loved "Ice Cream Man", Well fellows , You are gonna loooooooooovvvvvvvveeeeeee this song. If "Ice Cream Man" was the cream of the cake, well this is going to be top sweet cherry of the cream. Definitely it's going to be the trademark song of their New Album.
Long Live Van Halen and it's been worth the waiting for Dave to come back ! (:
@evh671 and just how the fuck do you know? are you part of the .001% that have heard the entire album? Dont speak on something by hearing a min and a half clip.....dumbass!
@KitRamsey1 ......cause he as an idea of what VH truly is......if you cant tell from these clips.......your the dumbass.........and are not a real VH fan....HAHAHA......why are you even here.....I predict triple to quadruple the sale of Chickenfoot 3 just from the clips and 3 full songs...........and that Sammy wants back in the band by the end of the year!............................so go give Sammy's Chicken a workout!
@mikeybbdrummin chickenfoot sucks ass (even though im a huge satriani fan) i will be buying this album day one and believe me, u wont meet a bigger VH fan than me
