  • Atheists keep using Darwin's evolution as proof there is no God. Problem is, every single piece of evolution (macroevolution, not micro) has been proven incorrect. Java man, just a skull cap, three teeth and a leg bone. Not enough. Heckel's embryos, proven fake in the 1800s. Archeopteryx, a bird...only a bird. Archeoraptor, a fake fossil. Other fossils, Cambrian explosion proved evolution wrong. Miller creates amino acids, wrong atmosphere. If it were done again with the right atmosphere...

  • @tonym144 it would create formaldehyde and cyanide...embalming fluid. I could keep going, there are so many other failed proofs for evolution. Simply put, there is not a single theory of evolution that has been proposed that has not been proven wrong. Not one. So why can't people just accept the fact that the one theory that has NOT been proven wrong is right? Divine creation has yet to be disproved in any way. Really, it's not that hard to believe is it? Evolution requires more faith.

  • @tonym144 could you please link me to an article or video that references a work from a respected and scientifically educated author that disproves evolution? or even just give me your own idea that disproves it? thanks

  • 6:06, she made a good point and he avoided it.

  • When people have to name drop in order to defend their position, they're position isn't worth much.

  • Christens , they all want to go to heaven but none of them want to die. Just die you filthy fucking god freaks.

  • @jogreeen Im not religous either but why be so harsh?

  • @jogreeen that seems like the hateful idiocy that the religious indulge in

  • Best takedown of the 10 Commandments ev-errrr !

  • This religious nut is so confused about the burden of proof. If I believe he owes me a million dollars, is it up to him to disprove the existence of the debt, or is it up to me to prove that it exists before I get my million bucks from him?

  • if i say that this pastor is a rapist, it's true unless he proves me wrong (negatives can't be proven though). that's his logic. i claim that he's a rapist and because there is no possibility for him to prove me wrong, my claim is correct. the sick bastard deserves to go to jail for what he did...we don't need a court. i wildly accuse people and if they can't prove me wrong, they'll go to jail. IN DUBIO CONTRA REO.

  • @deathbird1202 that is the trinity father son holy and holy spirit. All three are the same but different bodys you can say. Just likr water liquid and gas.

  • He wins the argument on his accent alone.

  • And so what u can belive hes not real but what chance will u be takein in beliving in him at least when it comes true i wont be you that get left behind. And u say he wint come and u die and nun happens then ok? U wont know ur dead? Soo? But ik he lives no matyer what anyone tells me

  • Yea idc what happens to me if i die i go with christ and if you dont think hes real then atleast i had hope and somethin always keeping my head up while i was on earth, he brings me joy and happiness and has blessed alot and things like praying for my parilized cusins for hours because they couldnt walk and after tht the next day both of them walked at the same tim when they were four and dictors are studying them beacause they font understand how its possible so, thats why i have alot of faith

  • There was no salvation bu grace back before jesus but just like he killed all those people he can kill you he hates the ones who deny him but loves those who belive so yes your right he will slaughter you but not me. To me idc if i die in this earth

  • Omg first of al thts yhe old testimeny before jesus came god was ruthles till he sent his son to forgive us. Before u name anything out from the bible you hve to understanfd when it was. bible if u can read tht read how blind you are and how ignorant and how jesus now came to save us but no mater what i say u guys are blinded in the word of god i would bet my own life tht i know hes real. When he comes you will see but its up to u to belive. I cant mke u but at the end every knee shall bow

  • @gabe1156 The only thing blinding me is your astounding inability to string coherent sentences together.

  • Funny fact:

There are 2,476,633 references in the Bible where God kills someone.

There are 10 references in the Bible where Satan kills someone.

"I kill ... I wound ... I will make my arrows drunk with blood, and my sword shall devour flesh..." --Deuteronomy 32:39-42

Hmmm, have Christians been worshiping the wrong Deity?

  • Fuck god!!! I am no SLAVE!!!!!

  • Extrordinairy Claims, need Extrordinairy evidence. end of story.

  • my entire body spasmed in WTF when he said if the 10 commandments disapeared our economy would colapse

  • The pastor is so wrong about the burden of proof it's amazing.. he's letting his own personal beliefs cloud his logical judgement. Way to go.

  • @DeathBringer769 Well he's correct, if you accept his premise. That it's self-evident.

  • You have to understad the laws back then in the old testiment were from the jews wich is why god punished them. Before jesus god was ruthless on those that didnt belive thats why he sent jesus to forgive you he took the price of your sin b4 there were sarifices but read the new testiment

  • @gabe1156 So, let me get this straight. They are all the same person, but as soon as one of them reaches earth, all of them change? I'm sorry, but that doesn't make sense to me.

  • Thats not my point though my point is that we are the only ones that can talk and do more tham anything or any animal everything that is alive dies but our life here on earth dosent mater, iys after

  • @gabe1156 'life here on earth doesn't matter'. Really? So your family & your friends don't matter to you, here on earth, at all?? You'd take scripture written back in the Bronze Age over family & friends???

(shaking my head & shrugging my shoulders)

  • @gabe1156 Our life here on Earth doesn't matter? So if someone killed you, you wouldn't mind? If your life was ruined by someone or something or a combination of things, you'd just say "ah well, it never mattered anyway" ? I'm perplexed.

  • hitchens was spot on

einstein was raised jewish and became deist later in life

  • I know that god exists how could you even belive that such a perfect and only life form like us that can speak go to school and learn and do many things no animal or anything can do it like us. The stars or the planets didnt just create themselves.

  • @gabe1156 We're not perfect - and I don't mean the 'original sin' bit that Christian faith loves to chain people with from birth. Why do we still have an appendix? Why do most people need to get their wisdom teeth removed? There are so many nasty bugs out there that kill thousands of people a year - why does it take so long for us to develop an immunity to them? Why can't we survive outside our planet w/out special protection? We're a pretty half-assed 'creation' if u ask me.

  • But i dont see it as a religon its a relashionship between you and our lord and savior jesus christ.

  • @gabe1156 It is a religion where you pretend to have a relationship with a preacher who supposedly died 2,000 years ago. But it's actually you talking to yourself in your head.

  • @gabe1156 Jesus never existed.

  • Read for yourself look it up where it says it in the bible. We live by faith not by sight if u would actualy worship and change your life around and realy worship him u will she the proof you feel him inside your heart, the holy spirit

  • @gabe1156 religion is illogical though. the idea that you would believe in it isn't logical. logic can be put next to an IQ test. thus if you aren't logical, you have a lower IQ... 90% of the intelligentsia are atheist/ dont believe in god nor a greater all mighty being.

I believe Harry Potter is a religion and dumbledore is god. it is only called fiction to test your faith..... i believe there is a tea pot at the core of every planet. a ludicrous claim you say? prove im wrong! utter rubbish!

  • Ima christian but that pastor aint doin to good of a job lol well first of all in the bible it says in the last days there will be an increace in knowleage. And in the past only 50 years we have had a great increase in knowlege more than the begining of time and 1000 after lets say fiire was bearly discovered. Thats one and we all agree that the bible is old but 2,000 years ago they didnt know of the world was flat or square or round but in the bible its says the earth foes not stand on pilards.

  • The Bible says it's ok to kill: unruly/rebellious children (Deut 21:20-21, Lev 20:9, Ex 21:15), worshipers of other gods (Deut 13:6-11), those who work on the Sabbath (Ex 35:2), children & babies of your enemies (Num 31:17, Deut 20:13, Psalm 137:9, Lev 26:29), adulterers & homosexuals (Lev 20:10), and women who aren't virgins when they marry (Deut 22:13-21).

Perhaps the next printing of the Bible should have a gun or knife on the cover, no?

It also preaches hate - oh Christian virtues!

  • @throbgrist thank you for making this clear. many people blindly believe without the knowledge of such underlying ideas at the heart of an evil regime.

  • 0:21 dude is scared as fuck

  • I have to commend the host of this show. Most hosts that have debates like this usually take sides and gang up on the loser. She seems pretty fair and lets each guest speak their view.

  • She is just awesome!!!

  • This idiot will be the first one repenting when the tribulation begins and she is so lost and dumb she will follow him....God is real...the ignorance in this world is incredible.

  • @followgood In other words, "Blah Blah Blah Bullshit Blah Blah Blah Baloney, Blah Blah Blah load of hokum"

  • @followgood somebody didn't finish irony school. too busy bending over for a flying spaghetti monster eh..

  • @MrTwarrington Goddamnit! You beat me to it! >_<

  • @followgood So is the flying spaghetti monster. Why can't people see it?! Such ignorant people, indeed.

  • @GashPlague just so everyone knows, if ANYONE insults my all loving, randomly baby killing, allmighty spaghettimonster that teaches us to love anyone and that we're better people than non believers, i will KILL THAT PERSON!

  • @schmui *cough* *hack* Oh, excuse me, I nearly choked on all that sarcasm. xD

  • @GashPlague A "flying spaghetti monster?" that shows where your intelligence is. Stop being a hypocrite and read the Bible and try to understand what you read. I was a hypocrite, non-believer less than one year ago, now I see the truth.

  • @followgood Did god rape mary?

  • 0:58 doesn't matter ford sucks , (G)reatest (M)achine (C)reated FTW

  • Their is NOT ONE passage in buddhist, sikh, hindu or jain religon about killing someone because of their faith....NOT ONE!!

  • People have been seeking god for thousands of years without a single shred of evidence. If there is. God, he doesn't want you to know he exists.

  • Hitchens is such a boss, that even the interviewer goes against his opponent.

  • There are a lot of people in the world who don't know Henry Ford. The burden of proof is on those who know he existed. This guy is nuts. Even his analogy works against him.

  • smart pastor, smart atheist. how are they on dumb cunt joy behar's show?

  • Whilst I completely agree with Hitchens, this Pastor was actually far more likeable than most in these types of 'debates'.

  • All you people are fucking idiots..

  • I dislike religion because it teaches that logic and rational thinking is satanic and evil. yet logic had a positive impact on humanity and religious beliefs just condoned irrational thinking. if Satan is the best deceiver known to exist, does any1 think that maybe all these religions r from Satan himself?

  • @GODFATHER4768 The Bible actually praises logic. According to the Bible, God created science. Why then would He consider it evil? I don't what Christians you have met that led you to believe that all Christians think that, but it isn't true.

  • @drummrath2 because REAL science differs from the "science" in the bible. Also if anyone had a little bit of common sense and logic they would know that the bible is ridiculous. People living in a whale's stomach for days, an old man building an ark and rounding up 2 of every animal=logic? Evolution is logical through rational thinking we were able to conclude that humans evolved from monkeys. Christians blindly believe that god created humans with no evidence, that is irrational.

  • @GODFATHER4768 2 of unclean kind male and female and 7 of clean kind male and female so could have been by 4 and 14, although some animals are asexual not male and female.

  • @hydrolito What are you saying?

  • @GODFATHER4768 No one, even those involved, would say that Noah and the Arc or Jonah and the whale defied known properties of the world. But that's why he's God. If the Creator had to work obeying the principles He created, that would not make any sense. God created science. He made the rules. He can bend them or break them or defy them whenever He wants or else He isn't God. He's just a righteous human, which isn't Biblical. I don't have enough faith for evolution.

  • @drummrath2 so how come god does not "bend" the rules anymore? maybe its because the noah and jonah story are simply made up. there is so much evidence for evolution but none for god creating humans. There is no mention of evolution in the bible. Also, think about the story, God does not like the system he created so to fix things he comes to earth and sacrifices himself to himself to create a loophole in the very system he created. This is ridiculous nonsense at its finest.

  • @GODFATHER4768 Who says God doesn't bend the rules anymore? Not everyone living in Jonah's time knew about him in the whale. We only know now because it was documented and spread. Whose to say something like that isn't happening now? Just because the Bible doesn't mention it, doesn't mean it isn't true. Bible never mentions gravity, but its still real. However, there is no evidence for Macro-evolution. Logic will never win you over though, so I'm done. Its a matter of the heart.

  • @drummrath2 There is evidence for macro evolution because certain charateristics are carried by genes into a number of different species such as albinoism is carried by both humans and cats for example. Also you see evidence tiny house cats are related to large lions and tigers. You want to make claims about macro evolution because you know you already lost about microevolution.

  • @drummrath2 No supernatural events were claimed to have happened since the ancient times. The Jonah story was able to be documented and spread all those centuries ago but not one REAL event was documented anytime after the bible.wat does that tell u?Supernatural stories are the result of storytellers stretching the truth to make the story appealing. In the Iliad, king Menelaus was about to kill prince Paris of troy but Aphrodite came down and saved Paris.Does that mean Aphrodite exists?

  • @drummrath2 Now onto science, there is much evidence for Macro-evolution, the Homo sapien evolved from the Homo Erectus. It is a fact that Homo erectus existed because they found a skull from one. Ever wonder why humans have a tailbone? Why dolphins have hindfins that are for the most part useless? the answer is EVOLUTION. But you dont believe in it because it goes against the Bible. In other words,u blindly follow the Bible. That is just irrational and only leads to negative results

  • @GODFATHER4768 I'm sorry, but you actually didn't say anything with any hint of scientific evidence. "We know evolution happened because we think something evolved." Well..yeah...but why? "Oh, and we have a tailbone." "Umm And?" "Well that's obviously evidence!" I'm sorry, but its not. But like I said, I'm never going to change your mind with logic, no matter how sound. You'll never change mine with logic, no matter how flawed. Its an argument for the heart. I wont waste my energy

  • @drummrath2 no hint of scientific evidence? so whats the skull from homo erectus? What are the vestigial structures(Tailbone, useless hind fins) that i mentioned. btw vestigial structures are the remaining structures our previous species they just carried over. there are fossils too. With ur "sound logic" i can say that finding the bones of dinosaurs is not scientific evidence. there are many things that we dont know y they happened, like the extinction of the dinosaurs.

  • CHRISTIANITY AND ISLAM are manufactured religons. DHARMIC FAITHS, are the only ones that are ORGANIC human developments, which PROMOTES MEDITATION, NIRVANA, to reach your highest plane.

  • @OneDharmaYouMovement

Planes level of evidence have yet to be proven/demonstrated. They are too, manufactured beliefs.

  • acutually NO, as a hindu, sikh, buddhist and jain THE ONLY thing we must do is live a good life, no hurt anyone, not convert anyone, to be peacefull, and loving. To do yoga, meditation, to think of the one god, to see life in everything. to see life as a balance, as a sikh buddhist hindu and jain we have no problem saying that jesus was a good man, However jesus was created by ROME, yHzeus AND no christian or Muslim WOULD ever say you can reach god even if ur NOT CHRISTIAN or NOT muslim.

  • @OneDharmaYouMovement

    You din't get my point.

It's still a faith, based on nothing logical but thought processes. I admit it's better than believing in Christ or Muhamed, but you still have dogmas and ceremonies in all of these.

  • Yes people have ceremonies because those are cultures which has been of mans development. For example, a cow is protected in india, the first place cow domestication took place, was india. But dharmic faiths NEVER say kill, convert, or just because your from faith a b or c, doesnt mean you wont find god. It focuses on yoga, on though, on logic, on understanding, on balance. For christian or muslim CAN NEVER SAY another path is as valid. Thats why they are manufactured faiths to control ppl. T.c

  • @C0ct0pusPrime By liking this video, I also want you to know that that also covers the caption below the video. :)

  • Smartest Christian I've ever seen.

  • Without the 10 commandments we wouldn't have a basic moral code? Sounds hard to believe since the church was neutral for centuries when it came to slavery. in old times, cursing a whole race into slavery was considered acceptable because it was in the Bible. The American slave owner felt that he was carrying out God's plan by buying and using slaves.

  • Dawkins has claimed, “As for religion … nobody wields a sharper bayonet than Sam Harris.” Harris debated Craig on 7th April. In his opening statement in that debate, Harris declared that Dr Craig is “the one Christian apologist who seems to have put the fear of God into many of my fellow atheists.” After that debate, the atheist website Debunking Christianity reported: “Bill (Craig) has once again showed himself as the best debater of this generation.” ROFL LMAO WOOT WOOT!!!!

  • in a logical discussion the one making the claim ALWAYS has the burden of proof. theists make the claim of god, atheists disbelieve this claim due to the complete lack of evidence.

  • in my opinion the big bang theory is real but god used it to create the universe, and remember there is no atheists in a fox hole

  • @eneecearng Pat tillman was an atheist as well as his brother, Kevin, who was serving in the same Ranger battalion.

  • @eneecearng can't disagree with the first part of your statement. but remember there is no god in a foxhole either. or at the very least, He's in your enemy's foxhole too

  • @eneecearng Yes there are, i have met a few of them, but like any sane and smart individual, when some fuckers shooting at you not only do you put down the line "firemission on those motherfuckers" you also think "god if your about, mind giving me a chance here?"

Its logical thinking, its the "just incase" part, but then again, i have met people who under fire still had no belief of a god(s).

  • @eneecearng "No atheists in a fox hole",,Hitchens was atheist to death.

And counting peoples view with a gun to their head is hardly evidence.

    Your points are patheic.

  • true believers! get thee hence back to the bronze age!

  • In god we trust.

  • @sorrow128 We're pretty fucked if we're trusting someone that is killing millions of people everyday.

  • @RetardedMaiden

    No, I'm not satisfied.

The notion of your fate is enough to throw the free will out the window, if the future is already written there's is no free will.(That is if God is 1. Almighty. 2. A loving God. 3. There is something called Hell)

  • why aren't believers called "non-reasoners" or "Athinkers"

  • Our natural instincts are to survive and procreate at any cost, we are not born good. So, left to our own devices, we would do what any animal would do to survive. Kill each other without remorse, rape, steal, anything that improves our chances to survive and pass on our genes. Instead of trying to convince people there is no God, atheists should agree to disagree and let people who need religion practice their faith. Religion can be helpful to people, it is not all bad.

  • @chilaxin92301 But compassion is innate in us, and in fact is a survival mechanism. The mutual cooperation that arises from compassion really improves survival over going it alone. The neurologists are pretty sure that the faculty lives in the pre-frontal lobes of the human brain. So you're mistaken about that: our capacity to do good for others and refrain from harm is innate in us, and doesn't require religious practice (although a little meditation may help, according to science).

  • Blind faith! Why can't people wake up?? I don't understand it, the bible is on the same level as Santa clause or the tooth fairy! And another thing.... If there is a god he is one nasty piece of work (child rape/murder, executions, horrible illness's, ethnic cleansing) plus you go to hell if you don't obey him! Disgusting!!!!

  • @grahamlaw85 Exactly right. The Biblical god is such a grim, horrible bastard that even if there was proof He existed, I still wouldn't serve him. Or at least, I hope that I would be brave enough to refuse. Thankfully the problem hasn't arisen (nor has Jeebus), but WHY do the believers insist that this awful celestial dictator loves us? Apparently they don't read their own book very carefully...bears killing kids, dashing babies on rocks, and Hell for all who don't "get it", no matter how good.

  • @ChollieD You hit the nail on the head as far as why the "hellfire fear tactic" doesn't work on atheists. Like you, even if proof arose to convince me of the bible god's existence, I still couldn't bring myself to actually worship such a monster. "There is no good and no morality without god" blah, blah, blah, blah. I'll guide my own ship and trust my own empathy to make my own moral judgments.

  • @grahamlaw85 You are stupid, you have never read the bible, you just read what other atheists write on the internet. God doesn't condone any of that. and Hell doesn't exist. God lets humans do whatever they want because we were made with free will. What you are saying is that God is nasty because he lets us be us? You are the nasty peice of work, you idiot.

  • @Minchken Depending on which version of the three great monotheistic religions you believe in, yes, God condones what we would consider child-rape (marriage under the age of 18), murder (killing of nonbelievers) and executions (stoning is but one example). As the great Mark Twain said, religion didn't end slavery, people's sentiments did and religion followed. God is only as flexible as his congregation's interpretation...

  • @bl91978 "You shall not murder"- Exodus 20

“You shall not steal"- Exodus 20

“‘Do not pervert justice; do not show partiality to the poor or favoritism to the great"-Lev iticus 19

"The commandments, “Do not commit adultery,” “Do not murder,” “Do not steal,” “Do not covet,” and whatever other commandment there may be, are summed up in this one rule: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”- Romans 13

  • @asa15189 what? no commandments about not raping or owning other humans as property? but we did manage to get gems like 'no graven images', 'keeping the sabbath', and 'no gods before me'.

those sure don't sound like the rules of an infallible being...and they aren't the rules of the US either.

  • Comment removed

  • @bl91978 "We also know that law is made not for the righteous but for lawbreakers and rebels, the ungodly and sinful, the unholy and irreligious; for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for MURDERERS, for ADULTERERS and PERVERTS, for SLAVE TRADERS and liars and perjurers" - 1 Timothy

This verse condemns all the sins you mentioned.

  • @asa15189 The sins he mentioned were condoined by the Bible but you never bothered to read the old testiment the Mythical god commanded them that they could keep virgins captured as their wives thus rape but to kill the men, women who weren't virgins even those who were pregnant and even the little children. Of course they also violated the graven image when they made the ark of the covenant with the graven images on top. They would kill people for violating the sabbath but slavery was allowed.

  • @hydrolito All you have said about the old testament is false. You never quote the verses because it only exists in your mind. You'll beleive anything other athiests tell you because it puts the blame on God rather than on yourself. Read the bible yourself. Don't depend on other people. Go to God for truth.

John 8 : “I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave to sin."- Jesus

  • @asa15189 So you don't think it says thou shalt make unto thee any graven image ... that's in the ten commandments so I made up the ten commandments huh? The ark of the covenant with the carved images on top you don't believe that is in the Bible? What about Genesis 1:12 Vegetation and plants came before Genesis1:16 the greater light to have domion over the day and lesser light to have dominion over the night-as well as the stars.Do you really believe earth had plants before sun moon and stars?

  • @asa15189 You show me no evidence your god or devil actually exist and now I showed you silly passages of Genesis 1:12-1:16. Genesis 3:1 has a talking serpent so do you really believe serpents talk if so show me one? In Genesis chapter 2 & 3, the woman and her husband ate of the fruit of the tree and didn't surely die that day as was predicted but lived long enough to have children in Genesis chapter 4. So again was false so if serpent did exist he told truth and Lord lied according to passage.

  • @hydrolito I can be certain Genesis is true because it is God's words. Your words are meaningless. Your perception is clouded. You will always reject the bible because you are a slave to sin, which cannot accept God's words. Why must you give in to it's desires? If you cry out to God, He will deliver you from your chains and show you life. This world is very dark. Is there nothing in you that yearns for deliverence?

  • @asa15189 My words are not meaningless they can be looked up in a dictionary. You have no evidence your god exist or that my perception is clouded. I grew up going to church being taught that stuff but by actually reading the Bible and using a brain realized it wasn't true. I have read through the Bible more than once have you? When it says in Genesis Chapter 18-19 that Abraham saw 3 men and that these were the Lord and 2 angels then why don't you believe the Lord and angels are men?

  • @asa15189

NO U CONVERT TO ISLAM NOW FOR TRUTH!

  • @9454791 That sounds like an order! One remarkable difference between Christ and Mohammed is that Christ changes a man's heart, while all Islam can change is the outward religion practices. The heart of a muslim still does not love God. Their religion is just outward rules and putting on a show. Christ offers to change a person's heart and give them direct access to God so that one can have a father-son relationship with God. For the muslim, God forever remains distant & untouchable.

  • @asa15189 That's complete and utter crap. Both lean heavily on fear tactics to change behavior and curb a individuals thinking. It's all about control and it doesn't matter if its Jesus or Muhammad hooking up the leash.

  • @Strike2k2 Your statment is nothing but claims. You have no authority on which to base you "truths". They are your own idea about was is true. You are not all-knowing, so all you can make are claims. God is the only one who can make statments of truth because He is all-knowing and doesn't lie or make mistakes like we do. He is the key to this mess. If you find Him, you find truth. He will reveal whether He is Jesus, Allah, Nature, or ourselves (athiesm). But you must seek Him.

  • @asa15189 So let me get this straight, you follow up a statement about claims and truth then turn around and make an even more grandiose claim of truth?... So you're all knowing then eh? LOL Wow.

  • @Strike2k2 All I have said comes from the bible. I have not made any claims. Christianity is rooted in God's words. That is the main difference between man-made religions like athiesm & islam and true living faith. Man-made faiths are based on human claims while true faith is based on God's words. Since all human arguments are futile in revealing truth, one must go directly to God and not trust what others say. If they are truly seeking Him, He will show you the way.

  • @asa15189 You cannot say anything in religion is based on God's words. There is no proof of God saying anything at all to any human. It was written down a long time ago... Almost plagiarized from other religions on the more important points (like the life of Jesus), so please start using your brain for yourself instead of holding on to the very poor conditioning of your early life to hold dear such ridiculous conceptions of reality.

  • @asa15189 Don't go to a mythical god without evidence to back it up. Atheists base on common sense and evidence. Humans through science discovered neurons so science of neurology is used to treat seizures insteads of praying to cast out demons that don't exist, Science of psychology to explain multiple personalities insteads of multiple demons, bacteria and viruses cause diseases such as rabies instead of myth of vampires and werewolves.

  • @asa15189 islam's followers thinks god spoke to Muhammad the way the Jews think god spoke to Moses and Elijah same silly nonsense without evidence. Religion has myths of crystal balls, flying horses and flying men. Humans find truth through observation and study and improving on what is, how do you think they made the airplane, tape recorders, tvs, computer and rabies vaccine? God told no one how to make these things.

  • @asa15189 " 'He deserves death'.

'Deserves it! I daresay he does. Many that live deserve death. And some that die deserve life. Can you give it to them ? Then do not be too eager to deal out death in judgement. For even the very wise cannot see all ends.' "

    -- J. R. R. Tolkien - The Lord of the Rings

I can quote ferry tales too? Although i think my is better, wiser and more relevant .

  • @Strike2k2 ferry tales!!!? i think what you were looking for was fairy tales

  • @Strike2k2 Jeremiah 29: "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you,” declares the LORD, “and will bring you back from captivity."

  • @asa15189 hahaha do you know the lord personally? Did he verify that he said that? Cuz i'm pretty sure some dude wrote that along time ago... god

  • @OccupyTheMilkyWay Yes, true christians know the Lord personally. Once He forgives our sin, we are adopted into His family. His Spirit lives in all true believers. Unbelievers have never experienced this, so they don't understand that such a love exists. God verifies His word through this same Spirit.

Hebrews 13: “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”- God

John 14: "I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you." - Jesus

    So great is His love!

  • @asa15189 I was born into an extremely catholic family bud, so don't try acting like you know more than me about this subject. I went to church every Sunday, was baptized confirmed, went to catholic schools my entire life. I once thought like you.. Than I started thinking for myself. It is the conditioning of our minds that makes us believe this propaganda. I escaped from it and saw the "dark" and so can you.

You are quoting a book that I previously stated was written by people.

  • @OccupyTheMilkyWay You may know something about man-made religion. But you do not know God. You have never recieved His holy spirit. You never had a relationship with Him because your religion was not based on truth. You never belived it in your heart and the same is true for most catholics. As with most man-made religion, it's about family traditions and outward behavior. They do not have an inward love for God or sincere repentence. You must seek God, not religion.

  • @asa15189 Not God.

  • @asa15189 What about the part where god is going to wipe out people lead out of Egypt and Moses talks him out of it?

  • @asa15189 He doesn't exist so he can't claim anything. You only have scare tactics because you have no evidence you god is real. If he is all knowing why is the world so messed up? Why didn't he see it coming and prevent it? Why would a loving god allow children to suffer from earthquakes, disease, famine. Why doesn't god provide for the birds as it says in the Bible so that the birds don't have hunt and to eat each other?

  • @hydrolito If you refuse to go to God for truth, how can you expect to get the answers? You don't seem to understand that until you go to God fro truth, you are blinded by human perceptions and will only accept what your athiest religion tells you is true. Their 'evidence" is nothing but thier perception of the world. How can you depend on man's word, when they will believe pretty much anything? Only God can clear the darkness of our perceptions. But we must choose God over sin.

  • @grahamlaw85 santa has been debunked countless explorers and scientists have found nothing in the north pole lol, the tooth fairy is trivially stupid and anyone with a half a brain can debunk this claim by putting a tooth under a pillow and placing cameras lol.. and all your baseless claims of the bible are all hearsay... defend your little hero hitchens if you want because as we speak he ABSOLUTELY DISAGREES WITH YOU lol

  • @grahamlaw85 Your reasoning assumes that we as men deserve nice, peaceful lives. We all deserve to go to Heaven. The Earth deserves no evil. I mean, we are all basically good, so we deserve all good things to happen and it is God's responsibility to just give us good. It is His fault this happens. Wrong. We are all basically bad. Humans, if given the chance, without the threat of negative consequences will do evil every time. We all deserve Hell. The glory of God is He saved us.

  • I completely agree with the Hitch and share his views of religion and all its evils. Having said that, i quite like the pastor for having the moral courage to basically say that if he is a christian, he has to believe in the entire bible. I can't help but respect him for not "picking and choosing" which bits of the bullshit he wants to accept.

  • @kushan101 ... not picking which bits... but embracing the whole bullshit as true? Your comment comes out as quite ironic. :)

  • @kushan101 So how do you believe something full of contradictions the sun, moon, earth and sea are established forever in Ecclesiates, but Heaven and earth will pass away and there will be a new earth without any sea in The Book of Revelation. Abraham saw god, but Moses could only look at his back parts, and yet elsewhere it says no one has seen god.

  • @hydrolito *LALALA I CAN'T HEAR YOU LALALALALA* xD

  • @kushan101 Why does that make you respect him? He's full of shit.

  • @migbee My guess is because the pastor said he believes all of the bible, and didn't spout the cherry picking "Oh, I only believe the new testament" because it's apparently "nicer" than the old testament. One thing I can't stand is when a christian says they believe in god, and what's in the bible but then go on to say that they don't follow the old testament. I can't help but think that if you disregard 90% of god's word, you're going to hell. I'm an atheist by the way.

  • @kushan101 Yeh, but if it's all or none how can you possibly go for all? It's ridiculous. If you read part of the bible and go "Well that's obviously wrong, It contradicts everything I know, there's no possible way that could have happened, but it's in here so it did." your either insane or in serious denial. Eitehr way, you're wrong.

  • @fatmikecj 10-4 my intelligent friend. You are right and I am totally bewildered as to why anyone with the least amount of brain power can't understand it. Man, there are some fucked up folks out there and how they are getting into positions of power is a scary scary thing and could - certainly WILL have disasterous consequences if the sane folks of the world ever let them have their way. I actually was made to go to church as a kid but by the time I was 12, I saw through it all.

  • 4:37 The sky god has cable...

  • Comment removed

  • It was kinda 2 vs 1, but i agree on every comment. I think it's quite shocking so many people still choose to believe in a 2000 year old fairytale even tho we got so advanced in science and spacetravel, you almost have to be stupid or really ignorant to still believe in something divine when all is being perfectly explained by the worlds greatest minds.

  • @Sm0k4bl3 Why dont you look at both sides you obviously haven't you get mad at Christians when we apparently just follow and we cant question or anything we are robots. but you just said a 2000 year old fairytale its 6000 and its certainly not a fairytale you obviously know nothing about the bible so does that make you a mindless robot?

  • @22Bunique I was raised as a Christian, and that's the exact reason I don't believe anymore. Why would you follow something that is as you say 6000 years old and yet not a word is proven and science finds more and more flaws in it and you guys just ignore it. I think even if it's proven a 100% hoax you still won't believe it, simply because it feels so good to hide from reality, to hide behind a god that was created by people so long ago when they thought the earth was flat.

  • @Sm0k4bl3 Honestly there is no point in me even saying anything you wont simply listen or look at what I have to offer. I'm just satisfied in the fact that I actually looked up both sides I was not always a Christian i grew up in an alcoholic family and i drank from a young age it was a miserable life. I was mad at God so i tried to disprove him, I couldnt it scared the crud out of me I went to church and God showed me himself because I sought after him. My life is better now.

  • @22Bunique Well I'm glad to hear it helped you out. I have to disagree with "Atheist are claiming against anything" We aren't claiming anything, we simply don't believe in the things that you might believe in because there is no proof. As i said i was raised as a Christian but I just didn't find it convincing enough to dedicate my life to it and started to do some real research instead of relying on a 6,000 year old book and well my life sure got better to see things clearer.

  • @22Bunique So in this perspective there wouldn't be anything wrong with us right? We both got better by it in our lives. My problem is, you can compare religion a little to: (sorry for the expression) a dick, it's great to have one. But you don't have to go swing it around in public and shove it down peoples troath, wich religion is doing alot. I hated bible lessons at school, but it was required. They shove it down your troath at a young age and try to blindfold you from the truth.

  • @Sm0k4bl3 Indeed. You know a while ago I was scanning the radio & happened to pause on the evangelical station b/c the preacher was talking about the song "My Way" by Sinatra. A member of his church wanted to play it at his dad's funeral because he felt it exemplified his life. This preacher totally vilified the song to the point of calling it EVIL b/c "the ONLY way to do it is god's way". Ridiculous. The degree to which religion discourages independent thought is scary and disgusting.

  • @88rat88 True, normally I'm not against a certain group of people, but religious people just need to be stopped, they think God gives them the power/excuse to claim ridiculous statements. Just like people thought slavery was oké because God said so. I don't care whatever people may believe, but if that believe makes them hateful towards other groups or claim they have the right to do stupid things because their book says so, then something is not right and it needs to be stopped.

  • @88rat88 My way is also called thinking outside the box if you want to improve you have to find a better way to do it. People thought the world was the center of the universe and the sun orbited the earth but scientists investigated and the evidence said otherwise and they feared for their life to tell people. People told the Wright brothers man couldn't fly. Frank Sinatra was talking about going against the crowd doing what you knew was right insteads of just what people told you could do.

  • @hydrolito Exactly. The so-called "god of the gaps" is left with fewer and fewer gaps to hide within.

  • hitchens is to confident in his word articulation to be defeated

  • that pastor got pwn'd LMAO like a deer in head light's

  • The look on the pastor's face while saying these things almost makes me believe he doesn't believe either. In the back of his mind, he's saying to himself, "What the fuck am I saying!?!?!".

  • I'm happy to see she takes more of hitchens side in this "debate"

  • Before the 10 commandments the Egyptians had the Negative Confession: I have not killed another.

  • I'm an atheist, but this pastor is unusually likable

  • @009SoundVEVO Yeah he's got a rare measure of dignity, and is honest about what he believes. So many believers make a habit of dodging questions
