  • This is the wreck of a 200m Korean freighter, which went down in a typhoon some 22 years ago. No lives lost and all the cargo salvaged. The wreck was cut up & engines etc salvaged, it now lies in 2 large pieces in about 35m of water with the upper levels at 20m. The whole wreck is covered with soft and hard corals, fans and crinoids, making it an excellent site for UW photographers, fish abound throughout the wreck. Probably one of the most accessible wrecks in Taiwan and a great dive.

  • Thanks a lot for the info Andy ! Do you know by any chance the name of that ship ? I know someone showed me once an article online about that incident, but I don't have the link anymore. It IS an awesome wreck indeed, especially for the fact that it's so accessible !

  • Looks like you had a strong current. What depth was that at? I'm not trying to critisize, but I'd lose the snorkel, get more streamlined, change the flimsy fins for Jet Fins or Turtle Fins, get a Tech long hose setup, and take an extra tank of air(pony bottle) (or take a Tech/DIR-F course) .... just in case someone gets stuck and panics! Panic equals high air consumption.

    Better safe than sorry.

  • Cool, but how about some narration. Also, what is the wreck history? I would love to see more wreck dive postings.
