@shellcracker18 I have the 4 inch and I love it so much. The 2 inch ES is too short, but the 4 inch is perfect for "fun shooting" you have way more muzzle fire, you have more recoil and a gun nod sold as often as the 8 3/8 inch .500sw. 4inch sw RULES!!!!

i cnt belive the guns u guy (usa) can buy, in aus u can only get up to .38 cal. with special Metailic silouette licence u can get up to .45 thats all. only semi auto pistol with 10rnd max yo.

@Toro76aus Here in Germany, you cant buy anything... You need a permission and to get one you need to join the army, a gunclub or become a police officer or a hunter. Join a gunclub sounds easy, but its very expensive (expensive to get a permission). Become a hunter? Even more expenisve! If you like guns, Germany isnt a good choice to live!

No, the muzzle flash comes from unburned powder. Shorter barrels get less FPS than a longer barreled gun of the same caliber.

nope, but they sure travel much better. they have a cool package with a pelican case and safety equipment for brush pilots. a 500 and a 454 one has an orange handle the other has a yellow. they use them in case of a bear or other dangerous game. no real reason to have on other than that and having fun!

In my expierence Class III/SBR's have the fiercest of all muzzleblasts, AKA mini atmospheric pressure events.

I bet this piece could bark with some of the more tame of the short barreled rifles. She requires indoor double hearing protection no doubt? You know you have a loud piece when it requires double protection outdoors (I aint talking .50BMG either)

With a barrel that short that gun would only be accurate for about 25 feet. I guess it would be ok for home defense, but it wouldn't be any better than a standard length barrel.

Well that depends, if your looking to stop a attacker, get a .45 or a .357 if the guy is a werewolf, if your looking to dismember him and blow him inhalf/take his head off with one shot...go for a .44. If he has a herd of attack elephants with him, get a .454 or .500. the .454 and .500 will just blow right through you like you were nothing...
