This looks like a really great car. The design is surprisingly well - the S7 has no real personality - but this one is different.
Well - and you cannot just compare a car with its stats!
I would say, the Saleen S7 would be a good competitor against the Bugatti - the Enzo is rather in a different league! That said, I have to commit, that Enzo doesn't give it to me -but a Porsche Carrera GT!

maybe you should so some research. C/D put the Z06, Viper and Ford GT (not called GT40 that was the org one) against the turbo 911, gallardo and ferrari F430 and guess what, it was pretty much a tie in terms of all performance aspects.

On second thought, that is an American NSX. Why can't Saleen come up with anything original? The S7 looks like several other cars chopped up and piece back together and this concept looks just like the HSC concept & Acura NSX. However, I do love the design. The stupidest review ever! That car is COOL as it gets! 650 HP from an aluminum 5.5L V8 compelled to greatness by a twin screw Supercharger. All that with the Saleen name and kick Ass looks! And we know it will handle because Saleen makes their car by the bible of the wind tunnel. Inside Line is gay.

um..... Corvette goes around corners pretty well and has won Le Mans a couple times and thats American, and the Ford Focus is winning the WRC Manufacturers bracket... and the Ford GT40 won numerous championships.....so i dont quite understand your logic

the 2007 Z06 beat ever euro supercar it was put against in both 1/4 and road course, so maybe you need to get your head outta your tailpipe.
oh and PLEASE tell the germans to build something that doesn't break down as often as ford for twice the price!

does anyone know if this is the pushrod 5.0 ford phased out in 99? or is it a stroked 32v DOHC 4.6? or better yet, the cammer? i was suprised the s7 used a 427ci stroked 351 windsor.

i was unaware.. still, that doesn't really answer my question. whether the block is production from ford doesn't matter to me. dart casts their own aftermarket blocks for 5.0's as well. plenty of mustangs use them. does that mean any aftermarket blocked 5.0 mustang uses a dart engine? i'm curious as to whether the raptor uses a modular DOHC 4v ford based engine or the a pushrod (probably windsor) single cam 2v ford based engine. i'm ok with it either way, i'm just curious...

I would agree it has very simular cues from other cars, And yes that rear nsx light bar needs to go. The nsx is so 1980's. The Running mule of this concept also needs to X the gills from the s7. IT worked for the s7 not got this car. But AT LEAST THERE makeing another car thats all there own. To date excluding the mustangs saleen has built all the ford GT's the s7's And a few Camaros for The transformers movie. They do it all. dont hate

i don't know... america has come a long way in terms of supercars in the last decade. you're also comparing the continent of europe, (germany, britain, italy) with a single country. either way, i think america can give all of europe a serious run for their money with modern supercars. i'd pick the s7tt, the aero, the mosler, maybe the raptor?, the viper acr, and i guess the ford gt and zr1 corvette. we're still breaking into the supercar scene. give it 10 years.

maybe you should so some research. C/D put the Z06, Viper and Ford GT (not called GT40 that was the org one) against the turbo 911, gallardo and ferrari F430 and guess what, it was pretty much a tie in terms of all performance aspects.
you wanna talk mustang I'll agree with you, it is a POS like not other.
but then again the new GT-R from Nissan DESTROYED all euro sports cars didn't it, so really where is the debate?

YES! The Saleen S7 can whoop any car with the same power. Saleen does not mess around. All Saleen Vehicles are build according to the wind tunnel and @ 120 the S7 can drive upsidown! And the competition version has 100-1400 HP. I mean euro cars? NOT only Brabus Mercs could do that!

On second thought, that is an American NSX. Why can't Saleen come up with anything original? The S7 looks like several other cars chopped up and piece back together and this concept looks just like the HSC concept & Acura NSX. However, I do love the design. At least someone is willing to give the public what is wants. Message to Honda: you lose!

so what if the nissan gtr r35 can beat a 911 turbo why don't they put it up against the real deal 2 seater street monster the (997) 911 GT2 or maybe ur guys at nissan are to scared of 530 BHP with 680Nm and top speed of 204MPH 0-100 7.4s so I say to u Nissan and its fans like the great one once used to say JUST BRING IT!!
