This scene just TERRIFIED me as a kid. In fact, it kind of still does. Everything about it is just nightmarish. And that eerie music as his eyes light up in their possessed state at the end just gives me the chills.

Wow this is amazing I love Vanessa she is my favourite Disney bad guy and Ariel is my favourite Disney Princess. This part of the movie always has me in tears. i have the DVD it's amazing. I wish I looked like Ariel and Vanessa . I've loved this movie since I was 1 years old. Jodi Benson has done a good job voicing Ariel and Vanessa. I wish I could sing like Jodi Benson she has the most strong, powerful voice ever. I wonder what Jodi Benson is up to now? The Little Mermaid is the best film.

The song is supposed to be a prank where Ursula AKA Vanessa is hypnotizing Eric as a way to trick him into believing that a sea witch rescued him from drowning. Ariel did it!

Hard to say which is my favorite. The special addition version has a higher and quicker voice. The original sounds more like an evil Vanessa. I like them both though.

I love the sound of Vanessa's (Ursula's) voice. It's a nice, deep, rich tone that is somehow a lot better than Ariel's. Dunno though, maybe its because she sounds more like an adult woman than a teenager like Ariel.

this is such a beautifully done scene, the way she's walking through the fog, you can't really see her that well...her cape and hair blowing in the wind...and of course the haunting, siren-like melody.
