  • Here's an unlocker that works most of the time:

    /watch?v=QntoYqqm3UA

    It will fix this error.

  • Restart explorer.exe or log out of the PC and when U go back it will be gone, or you can delete it.

  • refresh the desktop.

  • Windows vista sucks buy windows 7 or xp

  • thats not even fucking vista.. thats likt windows xp 1996

  • it's because u just uninstalled this program...restart your computer ,and these shortcuts will dissapear

    if not download "unlocker"

  • HOLY CRAP! Thats what Vista looks like? Thank God I use OSX Leopard.

  • no, he's just using an old style

  • Hmmstill glad I have Leopard

  • try cmd promt delete

  • you gotta restart pc, happend to me, if not then go to control pannel then add/remove program and do it from there.

  • you most update ur desktop...and the icons will disapear..easy as that...lawl

  • right Click And Refresh

  • the file is deleted on your desktop when you restart your computer.

  • if you already deleted the actual demo from the Add/Delete program in control panel, it will do that becuase it cant find the directory

  • all I did was log out and log back in. it's that the computer doesn't have the file on your desktop but for some reason the computer still has the icon. If you log out and log back in, it will refresh and remove the icon

  • You can always hit 'F5' while on your desktop. I believe that's the refresh hotkey. Right clicking on your desktop, and clicking 'refresh' does the same.

  • I agree with you 100%

  • noobs window xp pro was like this at the begening ok noobs and window vista will make more patch ok then dont complain noobies

  • uh ROFL vista is so bugged dumb microsoft can't even block crackers from pirating it...

  • This happened to me. This in fact happens when you delete the file the shortcut refers to but if you restart your system the shortcut shout be gone.

  • right cick on the shortcut and in the linkto box type something else like c:/ and then you should be able to delete it

  • can i ask y u have tha mac os x theme tune in (i am sure it is)

  • its to do with the file index being retarded.

    in start type "indexing options"

and then rebuild the index. that should fix it.

  • Try this: select the item, properties, and see what is the exact URL Connection. Go there and Erase from there :))

  • What is the name of the first song?

  • In my compuer some icons can't be deleted, so I have to clic on right buton. It happens the same in my computer

  • I get the same thing with XP Pro all the time. File icon shows, you try and delete it, and it says it's not there to start with...

  • Maybe it's some kind of error of the filesystem, but it's gonna be healed under the next system boot up. Every filesystem could be in the state of inconsistent.

  • Whats that song?

  • hmm this happened to me... but erm...it was because when i deleted it off my hard drive i was running a few programs and switching between them, and it encounterd an error. I then restarted my PC, and it had dissapeard automaticly thank god.

  • UBUNTU = THE BEST

  • stfu

  • reply to homerojsimpson666666:

oh really its the best? hmm..

than why does that new 7.10 one always crash

on my PC? and yes that pc is pretty new.

I mean windows xp worked fine before on it, and that takes A LOT more resources.

  • Yup, you have to delete the shortcut BEFORE you delete the program, beacuse it seems that is you don't do that then you are stuck with the icons. Vista, i pray, should get some kinda patch for that one, but most likely, not.

  • prove that you are really running vista by applying the Vista colours and effects (if possible) then but another video on because i think you have downloaded somesort of vista program for XP off the internet. Prove me Wrong!

  • I'm not going to take another video but you can tell it's vista because of the icons, wallpaper, and the format of the delete box. I don't use the Aero theme because Vista feels much, much faster without it.

  • @jdcresswell its a windows vista

  • @TheMichaelJordan2323 I know its Vista now because that comment is 3 years old. I was wrong. I forgot all about that comment and replying to my comment led me back here to see what I put. I sounded like an idiot when I left that comment.

  • Yea, another error is it lets you delete 'Recycle Bin', and then theres no way of getting it back...

  • lol you Noob you must rightclick on the desktop and then choose the last Word. In German it call Anpassen then in the new Windows you have to click on Desktopysymbols change on the left side!!!! Second option!! Then choose Recyclig bin you NOOOB!

  • yes there is.

    Go to control panel

Go to eh personalizations and find the one about the desktop or icons i forgot exactly what

    Then check recycle bin.

    This works on Gateways.
