Thing is, if you want to pvp in eve, you'll spend most of your time grinding pve so you can buy pvp ships and fittings. Which is kinda retarded. The only practical way of pvping is in blobs that totally outnumber your target. That way you rarely die, and get mostly pvp experience out of the game, as opposed to 90% of it being isk grinding for a few minutes of glorified online casino in disguise. But flying in blobs sucks cause its about as exciting as pve.Thus, pvping in eve leads to boredom.
if you are clever and hunt down lone miners or rat hunters, you can have some great fun. i got to -10.0 doing that sort of thing with only myself. but it does take hours to find people, as players have become overtly cautious. there is the test server though, if you really want pvp
Yea, ironically, the best way to play the game is on the test server. I never saw killing miners and carebears as great fun tbh. Picking on an opponent who is not prepared for pvp at all isn't much better than pve imo.
Actually, most corps worth a crap have ship replacement plans: Lose a ship in a major operation - free new ship. Not to mention ratting in 0.0 easily nets 15+million per hour.

thats if you choose to build your own ships. see with eve you cant really have a character who does both combat and professions. you need one for each.
problem with eve is, losing ships hurts, so nobody wants to lose them. so if you are looking for pvp you can spend a few hours just looking for targets, and when you find them they drop twice as many friends on you and call it a good fight. you cant play eve and have a life. you can train skills and have a life, but if you never use them whats the point :p
it hurts when you work for your ship. if you spend days minning and lose all the work to show for it, than of course itll suck. like getting a months salary stolen in real life.
Dankaroo: Minmatar look piratey, I like that. Amarr are really sleep and big. Like them too. Gallente are, as you said, perfect. @p3vvp3vv Solo/Small Scale PVP, even some 0.0 PVP (points at Ev0ke) would be the most skill-intensive parts, and don't assume it's randomly smashing F1-F8, there's way more to it.
For instance, throw a newbie and a vet into a dunno, Dominix both with it fully skilled against a hostile gang. the Newbie is going to die horribly, the vet might just kick that gang's ass into decaying orbit :P

@pilzvergifter ONE SINGLE FLAW can ruin the whole operation. Like on a real battlefield, it takes strategy and precision, the only difference is that on a real war, if you lose the battle you die. In EVE, you just get angry and go masturbate.

EWAR is a big part of annoyance imo. Hate it. Useful, but hate it. And yes, they are good at sniping, but I don't give a shit about long range. Not enough DPS for me. And a torp Raven might be ok for ganking, but nowhere as good as say... a Gankathron or Gankageddon.
I got sick of eves constant gear grind, and the 'pvp' there is an absolute joke. You're either twinking in the lowby BG or top game gear fighting in the 60 - 70 bracket. Eve at least offers new players a chance to jump right in instead of WoW's YOU MUST BE LEVEL 70 AND IN TIER 22 GEAR BEFORE YOU CAN BEGIN PLAYING. Also, Expansions are free for Eve instead of WoW forcing you to pay to gear up. What a joke, i'm glad I quit.
I dunno, I liked wow. Even the leveling and *grinding* was fun.. otherwise I wouldn't have kept playing it. Good environment and a real *team* feeling during the game
But yeah, eve is much more challenging in pvp, requires less time and less attention (which is awesome for us students/employed people) to get good ships and train your character.
Also the game is monstrously massive and dynamic, and most players are quite friendly.

The answer is yes there is a lot you can do in eve universe. You can be a scientist whose goal is to make ship construction as quick and money saving as possible or u can be a trader who flies really big ships and sells items in different region. There is a wide choice of skills to choose from as well. Hope to see u in eve universe!
i find alot of things go boom, and theres plenty of action. it gets abit technical tho. if uhave got patience to learn then dont bother and just go play runescape LOL
eve is more of a slow-paced, tactical sort of game, as opposed to action-based. So If you're looking for hella action and things going boom, eve prolly won't be your thing.
Yea, this was more like a "huh, you guys are gonna 1-vs-1? ok, ill get some shots" kinda dis-orginized, and yea, lame, but it was fun, and I don't think I did to bad for a first vid, but hopefully my next (non-eve related vids) will be better.
You have great camera control so dont change that part of recording videos, but you said P v P stay focus on just the battles and you have a great video.
All it needs is a bit of explanation, sure, there was fighting over some rather odd matter, but what were the change of ships, different battles and etc. IT was alright though.
I think I focused to many things on the right side of the screen, despite the overall lack of action, I think it would have been btter If I tried to make the viewer move thier eyes wile watching it a bit more.

hmm... e-war is a big part of pvp you know that right? if you can't lock me you can't touch me. Also they are good at sniping and have good gank ships (torp raven)

EWAR is a big part of annoyance imo. Hate it. Useful, but hate it. And yes, they are good at sniping, but I don't give a shit about long range. Not enough DPS for me. And a torp Raven might be ok for ganking, but nowhere as good as say... a Gankathron or Gankageddon.

I got sick of eves constant gear grind, and the 'pvp' there is an absolute joke. You're either twinking in the lowby BG or top game gear fighting in the 60 - 70 bracket. Eve at least offers new players a chance to jump right in instead of WoW's YOU MUST BE LEVEL 70 AND IN TIER 22 GEAR BEFORE YOU CAN BEGIN PLAYING. Also, Expansions are free for Eve instead of WoW forcing you to pay to gear up. What a joke, i'm glad I quit.

I dunno, I liked wow. Even the leveling and *grinding* was fun.. otherwise I wouldn't have kept playing it. Good environment and a real *team* feeling during the game
But yeah, eve is much more challenging in pvp, requires less time and less attention (which is awesome for us students/employed people) to get good ships and train your character.
Also the game is monstrously massive and dynamic, and most players are quite friendly.
So much fun to play.

i've been playing Eve for 2 years and it's not boring...
I told a friend of mine, who was a hardcore WoW fan (3 years), to try out the eve trial...
He quit WoW and now plays eve all the time with me :)
He also said WoW is a stupid joke next to EVE

dear god, i play eve, been for past 4 years and this is one of the worst videos i have ever seen. No wonder people think this game is gay. Tha game itsel is great its videos like this that give it bad name when people zoom in to the max on their ships etc.

The answer is yes there is a lot you can do in eve universe. You can be a scientist whose goal is to make ship construction as quick and money saving as possible or u can be a trader who flies really big ships and sells items in different region. There is a wide choice of skills to choose from as well. Hope to see u in eve universe!

eve is more of a slow-paced, tactical sort of game, as opposed to action-based. So If you're looking for hella action and things going boom, eve prolly won't be your thing.

I think I focused to many things on the right side of the screen, despite the overall lack of action, I think it would have been btter If I tried to make the viewer move thier eyes wile watching it a bit more.
