  • Weird that they would get someone who can't pronounce the word to present the video :

    Antartica is a natural labrotory

    Antarctica is a natural laboratory

I bet she pronounces nuclear as nooclear.

  • She's got an accent. Michigan maybe.

  • i hate how she says antartica

  • she said artica

  • What things are being covered up by NASA?

  • The fact that it cost no where near the money they charged for the so-called Moon landing for one. (It's cheaper, especially if you don't exactly go all the way there.) -.-

  • melt

  • This was kind of boring. No wonder there are so many funny comments lol.

  • The middle's where Superman's house is.

But seriously, this is a really good video... makes us wonder what future discoveries are still hidden underneath the ice...

  • like Atlantis? I belive antartica is the best place to search... antartica has the best geographical position to be in contac whit the rest of the world, and the bigest aold civilizations comes from the south to the north or some of them... sorry for my english.

  • i think Atlantis is in the Bermuda triangle. The north and south pole used to be at the Bermuda triangle and Dragons triangle on the other side of the world, and there are similar stories of difficulties navigating.

  • Shows the South Polar Opening hole NASA, You know you cant the secret just look at the comments made by the people.

Dont worry, i am sure Its Not A Stargate xD

  • lol i love stargate!

  • en la antartida hay ruinas...

  • i wonder what's under all of that ice...

  • water water whales whales water ground? xD

  • im guessing very cold water

  • loooool

  • it leads into the middle where there is no pollution and the secret to eteral life is. Jim Morrison, Elvis and Hitler live down there. The only problem is a big nasty snake lives down there too.

  • god damn snakes have to ruin everything!

  • lol

  • "fascinating" is the word

  • Sont des vidéos très agréables et uniques.

  • Nice.

  • i dont support nasas nor governments

  • Comment removed

  • and your point is???

  • so you do not support science exploration or a structured governing system?

  • LOL :D

  • Why the hell not

  • Thousands of years?! Glaciers flow 1m/day, so over 300 m/year, maybe faster. There's no place to contain the amount of snow fallen within "thousands of years"! Where?

  • Enjoy Antarctica while it lasts, folks!

  • Should tell the lady that Anartica has a "c" in the middle...

  • and that's why you spell it the right way...

  • Sorry, that should have read: Should tell the lady that Anartica has a "t" and a "c" in the middle.

  • stupid Americans can't even spell O_o

  • yeah right ;)

  • There are comdemnable nationalist symbols at the beginning of the video.

  • NASA is not an agency of the U.S. government, even though they get their funding from it.

  • 5 minutes for 3 years... fascinating...

  • And not a single word about hollow earth.. ( but of course not, its a nasa film...) There are huge plains on Antarctica, without ice, and with open water (not frozen)

  • You are on crack.

  • Ever heard of Operation Highjump in 1947? But you are just another ignorant as Nasa really likes us to be so that they can do more lies to us. But if you're happy, dream on.... At Operation Highjump the US made 220 hours of film.. and 70.000 pics. This was a naval operation, just after WWII. There are some b/w films on internet, there they show all this.. But since you're to busy drinking alcohol you probably never noticed this..

  • no iamnot drunk .yes there were admirals Nimitz,Togo,Yamamoto,Nelson,OH Nordensköld and sixth was.......

  • jethro tull

  • cool info... tell us about resources throughout the world!

  • How refreshing. An entire video about Antartica and not a single word about "global warming" or the "hole in the Ozone layer." Thank you very much for this interesting video.

  • Exactly

  • I thought Mt. Everest was the highest point on earth?

  • It's the highest mountain, a lot of the mountain is below sea level, that's why it isn't the highest point.

  • yes it is, but it is one mountain, but of the 5 continents, Antarctica is the highest on average.

  • breathing people

good and evil good or evil good

  • OW MY GAHWD, I CAN SEE MA HOUSE'!

  • Yuk Yuk Yuk. Was it the one with the white roof ?

  • kas tas

  • it looks cold there...take a warm coat and chapstick

  • few ppl see glaciers ? O_o i feel special then. ive seen 2

  • if stillwhiteland and greenland melts to the ocean we may sing I AM BLUE

  • chill out and watch marist '09 singing

  • WTF??? My father was a captain of russian icebreaker "Kapitan Khlebnikov" He has been to Antarctica very many times, much like other people who are involved into polar expeditions.

Why building maps of it from sattelites, if people allready mapped everything by simply GOING there.

  • step into the present and be free

  • because ice melts and scientist always finds something new bout the place every week

  • icebreaker MADE IN FINLAND

  • not really, not entirely made in Finland, just some parts of it.

But yes, significant part was made in Finland.

don't be too proud, it is merely a diesel icebreaker oriented at tourists.

serious icebreakers (like nuclear propelled Arctica class, which are most powerful in the world) are made exclusively in Russia.

Look into the last one "50th anniversary of victory", this one is most powerful of the series.

  • 15m per pixel!!!!!!!

  • Chuck Norris' creations like the Antarctica is just beautiful...

  • Let's see, 5 continents, 7 C's (except when it rhymes with ay as in neighbor and weigh), 8 pints in a galleon (to sail those 7 C's), 9 tones in an octavius gigantus, 10 commandants (you get to choose the 4 you intend to follow), 13 bear claws in a baker's dozen (or the number of months in the UNICEF earth year of 1999), and 140 kvetches in anything gross. THERE, got it!

  • 5 continents Vitch, 5 continentsss not 7

  • you're not very well informed are you? Went to school in the 1950s or what?

  • and where did you learn geography? in the united states? lol the country that wants to recreate history

  • North America - continent 1

    South America - continent 2

    Africa - continent 3

    Australia - continent 4

    Eurasia - continent 5

    Antarctica - continent 6

some people would like to split europe and asia...but it really is only one land mass. I'm not sure why geographers like to make it 2. I think it's a racial/cultural thing in that regard and am willing to bitch about it. :-)

  • Land mass says little about continental drift.

  • very good there einstein! hahaha a walking atlas or globe, just freakin googled it!

  • America - continent 1

    Africa - continent 2

    Australia - continent 3

    Asia - continent 4

    oceania - continent 5

some people would like to split America in 2...but it really is only one land mass. I'm not sure why geographers like to make it 2. I think it's a racial/cultural thing in that regard and am willing to bitch about it. :-)

  • Oops

    America - continent 1

    Afreurasia - continent 2

    Australia - continent 3

    Oceania - continent 4

    There.

  • the point is that, prior to the discovery of america, for whatever reason, they had it as 4 continents, namely, africa, asia, europe and oceania, then christopher columbus came along and baptized the whole body of land as America.

  • lol, in that case, africa and eurasia are on land mass as well because before the suez canal they were connected. so there is:

    1. america (n & s = 1)

    2. afri-euro-asia

    3. australia

    4. antarctica

yep, that's all there is. :-)

  • Theres actually 7 continents, some are beneath water...

  • lol!.

  • are these images gonna be available in google earth ?

  • i think i will...

  • Magic Man done it!

  • when will we start seeing grass grow down there? :D

  • Awesome video NASA :D

  • I have always dreamt of being part of an expedition team there.

  • Cool too bad you can't use it.

  • wheres the hole at the pole? =D

  • Fascinating. I would love to explore Antarctica ...and I just did. I didn't even get frost bite! Cool indeed! Great video!

  • What an awesome creation.

  • lol'd at cape chocolate.

  • what do you mean humour? xD

  • Put it in Google Earth, that would be logical step.

  • agreed

  • Atheistic luciferianism.

  • Very cool. Pun intended. ;)

  • Hi.
