Trivia... If you didn't know... This was a cartoon created by Coke when they acquired Sony to be a marketing ploy for Coca-Cola...but it didn't happen and they ended up divesting themselves from Sony... LOL... The 80's formula for greedy was funny!

Eh, the only similarities between this show are..... teens protecting the world... and they have rings.... I don't see how an Anti-Polution super hero (AKA Captain Planet) is at all similar to a group of talking Dinosaurs LOL.

If anything, this reminds me more of transformers. Aliens come, there are 2 sides of the same race, 1 is the super good leader and acts heroic, 1 is the super evil leader that beats up his lackeys lol.

It was made by DiC entertainment which also did Captain planet, so it's really not surprising that it would have similarities.

As much as I loved this show as a kid (I had some tapes long ago), I had no clue what was going on, how they met the dinosaucers, why KIDS are fighting bloodthirsty aliens from outer space etc. But then again..it had dinosaurs! so who cares!

Oh well, it's a good concept and was pretty fun. I still liked Extreme dinosaurs a lot better though.

The USA cartoons of the 80s & 90s had somewhat sophisticated plots & character development because kids didnt have these insane ADD/ADHD problems. Today the cartoons are a lot more chaotic. Very little story line & charcater develolment if any. I believe it's because television thinks kids are more screwed up today and cant think very well. It may even encourge the problem. Just watch an episode of sponge bob - youll feel like a total idiot.

agreed.....i tried to sit through approximately 30 full seconds of "happy tree friends" when i realized the only thing dumber than the show was the fact that i was trying to watch it xD most cartoon violence could have been justified (always had a good reason, fighting them bad guyz) but at this point its just a form of comedy, and it really IS a bad influence now....what ever happened to the classic X-Men, or Spiderman? miss that shit....
