hi, great performance. i got a question, do you know how to loop melodies? i've been wanting to loop a recurring melody so that i can keep on building up with other stuff. is there a button to do so? or do you have to record and play over it?
What a great demo and performance! Do you use a pedal to cause all the voice changes from one to the next, or is it completely pre-programmed? Do all the sounds come natively from the CVP309 itself?
Steve, can I ask a little more about registration sequence? I am curious, what triggers the sound change? By foot pedal, or by pushing a button, or does it change strictly by time so that you have no control over when to change and have to play exactly in a timely manner? I am guessing it is by foot pedal. That way, it gives you some latitude in case you need to play rubato. Can you confirm? Thanks.
But what about the other Radio 4 theme tune -used around 1978 up to every hour (when the GTS was used) - it was a piece of medieval/early music of about 30secs duration. They didn't use it for very long, but was lovely. It was used later on BBC 1 For Schools and Colleges during one of their countdown clock sequences.. anyone remember it ???
I think it was called 'Up to the Hour'...was it not by James Galway? I used to commute through Central London 30 years ago in my beloved Peacock Blue Vauxhall Viva and I used to go through Parliament Square at about 8 Am each day listening to it! I also liked the tunes that radio 4 used for the news such as the PM programme all sadly gone replaced by bongs of Big Ben...
I wish there where some good CD's to teach all the things the CVP-207 can do.
I was thinking of selling it but you can't get a lot for them anymore so thought'
I might just keep it. Im getting ready to buy a new Korg Kronos and a Roland
Jupiter 80. I might be able to hook the CVP-207 up to them and use it with them in some way sometimes. I just play here at home.

How many changes can be made is a registration sequence? How many times
could you cahnge the voices in a song and how long could the song be?
I thought people changed them by foot pedal if not with their hand.
I saw a guy play the Pirates song and I think he did this registration sequence
too. He had to set it all up before he played the song.
It must take some time to set it all up. It must read the music as you play it
and it knows where it is in the song.

How does that work, registration sequence as you are playing. Do you set that
up ahead so when it comes to s certain part of the song the voices change.
Interesting I have a CVP-207 but have never done that with it.

Hi Thanks for your comments.
The sounds all come from the CVP309 and a registration sequence changes the sounds!
Glad you enjoyed it.

Has quite some feeling behind it. Quite a while since I've heard the UK theme. A true celebration of the Union.
