I am currently watching this movie and its not that bad. Its a little goofy and funny but thats on purpose from what I see. The action is ok and I don't think this is a serious scifi movie anyway its more of a comedy/romance/scifi movie. Yes the acting seems a bit bad but hey its not like hollywood is making such great movies nowadays anyway. Its entertaining enough for a one time watch at least.

Mainland Chinese film companies should NOT try to mimic American marketing techniques. Regardless of the quality of the finished film, this trailer is just a mess. Nearly EVERY line from that narrator is a catch-phrase you might find on a poster, as though the marketers thought they had SO MANY good ones, they might as well use them ALL in the trailer. The constant DESCRIBING of characters instead of plot doesn't help. Too bad this couldn't have been made in Hong Kong. It might've had a chance.

Hong Kong's INFERNAL AFFAIRS is a VASTLY superior movie to THE DEPARTED.

Jeff Lau thought he could make a TECHNOLOGICALLY and TECHNICALLY better movie than the TRANSFORMERS movies (which I hate). He was DREAMING. Kung Fu Cyborg has some good moments, but the FX are lacking compared to almost anything they're doing in the U.S. OR Hong Kong.

Legendary Assassin was from 2008, actually. And I'm only listing his most recent titles. I've seen his older works (Tai Chi II, New Tai Chi Master, Chinese Tall Story, etc), but going by his contemporary films, he's slowly letting himself go. Legendary Assassin was bad enough, and if Kung Fu Cyborg doesn't pull through, then it's safe to say Wu Jing is done. I like the guy as a martial artist, don't get me wrong, but his film roles don't do the man justice.
