Thank God, too, because her talent is without question top 3 worthy, so because of her fighting she made it to where she belonged. They showed clips of the two Davids fans holding up signs and David Cook's mother crying in the...
audience while showing no one NO ONE supporting Syesha, they put Syesha alone in the backseat of a car while they put David A. in front of a thousand screaming fans and David C. on a news broadcast, they stick Syesha with a crappy song and use their puppet judges to rip her apart for "choosing it," and then the aforementioned puppets left her out on a rope to dry receiving each of her performances with cold indifference while predicting a David and David finale when the night was over.
Gia's a redhead and has big boobs, can't complain since I love redheads and I love big boobs. But she doesn't do it for me the same way Syesha does, Syesha is so incredibly beautiful and sexy and elegant. I am so happy that in America our singers are hot and sexy like Gia and Syesha because if I had a poster on the wall of Susan Boyle from Britain's Got Talent then I would throw up.
Syesha is the most beautiful contestant ever on American Idol and she can sing awesome. She should have won based on her moves alone. No straight guy would judge this performance other than awesome. I think what ruined this song was the way it was cut and the back-up singers. In the original version, sung by Gia, the back up singers have a much more heave, dominant role in the song. archuletasgirl...I'm a huge Archuleta fan, but the producers and judges had meetings and they discuss who they want in the finale (financial reasons) and they manipulate and control everything that goes on with the show. Syesha had a snowball's chance in hell of making the finale and we all know it.

I have to say, she's alright, not my favorite singer...come to think of it, I don't really know who is my favorite, but I have to admit I don't think anyone could have made this song sound better than she did. I agree. The judges don't like the song and even Paula tells her it doesn't suit her and not good enough to make it into the finale. Well, who picked the song? Producer's choice, hence, elimination for Syesha. She wasn't my favorite, mine was elimitated already but I think she was as good as the Davids. That's what bugs me about this show now, the judges/producers at this point of the competition should praise them all and truly leave it up to America to decide.

Well I think she knew it was her time to go... what with everyone already preparing for the huge Davod vs. David showoff, so I think she was just ready to go. Same with Jason, he also knew it and he was tired. So Paula, i mean your awesome but whats up??? I think it was sorta obvious it was her time, so why did you have to bring it up?

I love Archie, but I thought the judges were especially harsh on Syesha. I thought her performances were usually pretty solid, but they seemed to always have something negative to say.

i agree fpinto2. I'm a huge Archuleta fan, but Syesha had ZERO chance of getting into the finale and the judges were going to make sure of that. They were extremely harsh. And to boot...Paula saying, "I don't think it was good enough to get you in to the finale"...usually Simon says something like that. When Paula says it you know that you have ZERO CHANCE.

actually, now that i think about it, i always thought that american idol was slightly fixed. you know, swaying the votes in any way they can? i think they purposely gave david cook a great song, david archuleta a good song, and syesha mercado a bad song to influence the votes.

archuletasgirl...I'm a huge Archuleta fan, but the producers and judges had meetings and they discuss who they want in the finale (financial reasons) and they manipulate and control everything that goes on with the show. Syesha had a snowball's chance in hell of making the finale and we all know it.

it totally wasn't fair for the producer to choose such a lame song for the top 3. she needed a really explosive song to end with, and this was just a corny song that appealed only to younger kids.
unfortunately, she also sounded a bit out of breath, and she didn't seem to connect with the song at all. (not that i can really blame her)
anyway, the producer eliminated any chance of her going on to the finale, though i highly doubted she would make it anyway. syesha was built for broadway!

she WAS good enough for the final actually, paula, maybe that week she wasn't, but she was given a choice by randy that has no wow factor because it doesn't go anywhere. and she was given a choice by the producers that just was a horrible choice. we all know she would never in a million years have picked that song. so screw them- manipulative bastards

syesha is amazing. nuff said. she shouldve won but the producers and judges are warping the show so that she doesnt get in the finals... they pick happy feet song for syesha which she can do absolutely nothing unique with.. and give david cook freaking aerosmith- one of the greatest songs ever... and syesha STILL did better... this show makes me so mad... syesha was the best... and shes is so gorgeous too

It was obvious the producers and the judges were setting her up to lose. They went very articulate with the Davids' song selections cause they know they wanted them in the finals.

Syesha awas my favorite but i personally think the producers sabotaged her.They needed to make sure David A was in the finally because alot of teenager watch it just for him and it was obvious David C would make it.

syesha is very gracious when she takes in the critique. good for paula for knowin about "happy feet". an article i read said that when the producers gave her this song it was like throwing her off a the highest floor of a skyscraper on top of a mountain.

I have to say, she's alright, not my favorite singer...come to think of it, I don't really know who is my favorite, but I have to admit I don't think anyone could have made this song sound better than she did. Personally, I think it suited her well and was a great performance. I do have to also agree, that it does seem sketch that they gave her such a horrible song. Paula was kinda wrong for saying what she said. I dunno, but that's my opinion.

I agree. The judges don't like the song and even Paula tells her it doesn't suit her and not good enough to make it into the finale. Well, who picked the song? Producer's choice, hence, elimination for Syesha. She wasn't my favorite, mine was elimitated already but I think she was as good as the Davids. That's what bugs me about this show now, the judges/producers at this point of the competition should praise them all and truly leave it up to America to decide.
